Yay! Welcome to the fun. Good job, I am very proud. Now get all of your friends to start and make a link of other people with blogs. FUN.
When I go to the dentist the laughing gas makes me cry afterwards. I didn’t know you had cavities. I hope your day gets better…
i didn’t know you went to the dentist. i am so very sorry. i really do hate my dentist. he has tried to kill me several times.
Kristin!! hey its Danielle from Katies work..Hopefully you remember me!! I Loathe the dentist too…I have to go tomorrow and I’m so not looking forward to it at all!! Boy is it going to be a bummer day off!!!
Well it’s nice to finally have an update…what’s it been? A month? First of all, of course you are going to be the best aunt ever. I like that you put it that way. And second of all, Liberal Arts is NOT a cop-out major, nor is it for football players who can’t make a decision. It’s for people like us who become way too interested in too many things and don’t want to be told what to do. The hard part comes after graduation, trying to decide what to actually do with the degree. Good luck with that…!
Oh my gosh!!! Stupid! You should totally call in on it. What a dumb girl! Who does that? I would be so mad.
you HAVE to do something about it. call the police and report it because that’s huge! even though she didn’t really damage your car too much, its worth to fight it. just my opinion. by the way, you don’t know me. but i just saw your link from katie’s blog. :)
You need to put a warning on this post that you GIVE STUFF AWAY if you haven’t seen some of these shows yet…
Seinfeld is lame. But you can talk to Dustin about it if you decide you like it. I sort of hope you don’t. Then we can think it’s lame together.
Too late, I already like Seinfeld. A lot actually! Sorry. And sorry I gave stuff away for you, I thought about putting a warning but… didn’t.
That’s a pretty sweet picture. I texted Dustin on Friday night to tell him you were on the third row and it took me 15 minutes, I swear, to convince him that you and I weren’t playing a joke on him. He was pretty jealous. Fun though; I’m jealous too!
Kristin, that is so much fun! but wait…is that really you!? haha or was that a joke! i think I need some convincing! ha
It really is me, I promise!!
It will all be worth it when you’re rich and famous.
Congratulations, Auntie.. though, may I be a surrogate aunt?
YEA!!! IM SO EXCITED THAT HE IS HERE!!! and a little jealous that you have seen him and I havent.
Oh, Kristin! That is terrible! My dog has severe allergies to bees and has almost died three times. I cried my heart out, and she didn’t even die! So I know you must be so sad. My condolences…
I have a cat that looks pretty much exactly like that. We can share him! I’m sorry for you though! I’ve only had my dogs for a year or so but I know I would totally fall apart if anything happened to them.
Kristin, those pictures are AWESOME! I love the sunset ones especially, but you got some really cool angles in all of them! Nice work! :)
Okay, just a little jealous. We want a turn!
I haven’t even seen you since you got back…I’m glad you had a fun time. Jack misses you and wants you to come see him soon.
Looks like fun! Are cute shoes ever the wrong shoes?
Looks like you had fun! sorry about the drive, it is a llloonnnggg one that is for sure!! :) your pictures are gorgeous!
I’m glad that you were doing something fun instead of coming to Lindsey’s shower, which was also fun, but we missed you! :D Hope you’re enjoying your summer! Love ya!
You really can fall asleep anywhere. Your light always used to be on really late and none of us knew if you were awake or not! but then we figured out that you were usually asleep! and i wish i wore skirts more in my life!
I knew all that stuff and I think you are perfect!! Love you. Momma
Holy crap, you crack me up. Thanks for an enjoyable blog reading tonight.
Woohoo! Like the background! So..are you gone on Tyler or would you be interested in a setup? Spencer has the notion that you would be perfectly suited for his cousin Hunter who is up here to school….
I loved loved loved your post! wow! that was hilarious and great! I was laughing my head off! I feel like I know so much more about you. We have a lot in common! haha
Everyone is matching in the first picture! Happy day of birth 20 years ago, Kristin. Being 20-it’s the best.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRISTIN! You are so stinkin cute! I love your face! Hope you had a great day!
Oh my heck I love your pictures! Cute cute. I’m glad you’re my sister :)
Those are the most gorgeous pictures I’ve ever seen! You make me want a new camera real bad! Looks like you had a good time! Go blogging! :D
I wish you had slapped that buffalo (sort of, I’m glad you didn’t, but it would have made a great story). I like the photos…artsy fartsy (haha).
One time Jalene and I were riding home from Weber on the bus and some kid had fallen asleep with his mouth open. Suddenly a similar line of drool (like this gentemans must have been) began to emerge from his mouth. Jalene and I were laughing and right then he woke up, looked at us, and wiped it up. So funny. Thanks for sharing. Made my day.
That is awesomely disgusting! Super sad! I have a similar story about a booger, but I’ll save you from that disgusting tale for now! You girls are funny!
I have pretty much learned in my life that the a meal is not complete unless I spill something on myself
I totally agree! Pierce Brosnan is so funny to watch, but definitely not his strongest suite, but I loved it!
Haha people drooling is the best! So funny. I remember that great day we saw that guy drooling on the bus. Man. That was hilarious. Good ol’ days when Whitney and I rode the bus.
Who is “Dashboard Confessional?” What a strange name. I love Ingrid. You should check out Goldfrapp. She’s one of my favorites. PS I added a link to your blog from mine. And I updated it today. Peace.
First off, it is so refreshing to see someone actually spell the word definitely right, and not say defiantly or definately, which make no sense at all, unless you are trying to be defiant I guess…
Secondly, i happen to really enjoy musicals. I’m sure I, along with many other boys, would appreciate it. There’s another movie musical that I really, really like, but I don’t think you would like this one…
There is an easier way to post pictures on blogspot and to arrange them. I’ll have to show you sometime.
You do have good taste in music. I’ve become a lazy bum when it comes to finding new stuff and I enjoy mooching it off of you. Thanks for sharing.
Oh that was surprisingly really touching!
Okay so I cried too just like you told me I would (I didn’t think I would; we must be related). Dang it, now I’m all teary and Jack’s wondering what’s wrong with me.
I didn’t cry, but it was pretty awesome. I might have cried had it been a tiger.
OK, maybe I’m a little slow, but I just realized that you put a . before and after your blog name and every post title. Just wanted to say it’s .pretty cool. Peace.
Glad to see you changed the name of this post from efy-ing to .efy-ing. Ha!
It looks like you had a blast! Cool pics, even if they were taken with a point-and-shoot… I’ve never done the whole efy-counselor thing. Maybe I should.
This is Dustin, looks like it was a lot of fun. Sorry not everything worked out like I thought it would but I am glad you had a good time. Jack sure did miss you. Thanks again for your help the other day.
Cool, Kristen! You are brave to hang with a bunch of teenagers. Good for you!
Lucky girl. I loved doing that. It was pretty hard work though huh. I wish I could have done the real one. You’re cute! Like you a lot!
Cute! It looks like you had a ton of fun! I want to go to EFY! I really like that roller coaster game picture, with the Y in the background…nice composition. Have fun with school starting! :D
Hi, this is Katie now. Oh it sounds like so much fun, and I’m glad it was! You look great in all those pictures. Love the black dress.
Oh thank you for putting that up so I could watch it. It was one of my favorites from the show.
I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard at a blog post. I think water will sustain your life for a while, but your quality of life will probably diminish. And what are you talking about very, very late?? It wasn’t that late!!! And you’re welcome for the tunes. Glad we could share. Peace, I’m out!!
Wow! That was a really great dance. I didn’t get to see that one, or the finale, but I was also surprised to hear that Josh won. I was rooting for Twitch. Too bad!
You are freaking hilarious. Sorry I screwed up your shopping schedule. I sort of feel like it’s all my fault. So sorry. I will make it up to you by letting you eat dinner with us this week. Oh wait, I just remembered all that stuff that you said you had going on…let me know when you are desperate enough and you can come eat with us…
I love that show too! I am going to the concert tour thing in September!! I’m so excited!!
Whoa .kristin., you went all deep and insightful on us! Loved the post PS. It is nice to have family so close. And very, very impressive on the poster!
Peace, I’m out. Gotta bounce to class.
Well thanks a lot for making me cry.. :). I’m glad you’re here too. I was just thinking while you were gone to efy and all that stuff how bad it sucked (sorry) that you weren’t here and then I was very glad when you came back. Logan is pretty good, isn’t it?
That post was just what I needed to read from you today. So thanks (really) for making me cry. Love you…
P.S. Where in the heck was that picture of us taken?
BAHAHAHAHA HA HA HA HA. Totally forgot about those pictures. I heart your face!!
Hahaha. Oh Kristin. That made me laugh a lot. You can come eat my food, because WE ARE NEIGHBORS NOW!!!!! Wahoo!!!! I’m soooo happy!
I at least hope that things end happy for you. I’m not worried about you with the dance tryouts! I tried to let you know through Facebook, but apparently I waited too long! I thought you would have been one of the first to know. Hopefully I’ll see you tomorrow?
A couple of things:
1. I feel bad you slept in. Sorry that I kept pushing next on the remote…
2. I will totally help with Spanish…maybe… ;)
3. See if you can get your books on Amazon. You can get them expedited and it will still be way cheaper than the bookstore.
4. Good luck on your 5 hour Dance Company audition (?) !!!
5. Nope, can’t think of a 5th thing.
Oh…I’m so sorry. It seems like when you have a bad day you really have a bad day (I mean everything hits you all at once). Hopefully that means things can only get better, right? Dustin (I am speaking for him), I am sure, would love to help you with your Spanish.
I like that you post so often. I like your blog.
When are you going to come over again? Don’t you need dinner? :)
Good jorb! That’s all.
Hey see if you can get Corey to come up and beat Lou on hard for me (Guitar Hero 3). It’s as impossible as it is impassable.
Oh cute…That was a nice tribute. I think you must be a better sister than me! Happy Birthday Corey!
Love the pictures! Memory lane…even if I wasn’t there. :)
Very cool pictures. The one with the flower in focus and the temple in the background was superb!
Ooooh! I like that a lot! Good luck with schooling Kristin! :)
Yeah the new look is pretty awesome. It’s always good to change it up once in a while. I changed mine a couple weeks ago and then realized that it’s exactly the same as my friend’s. Ah well. I definitely dig the non-moving background. Oh, and I can help confuse you a little more in your spanish class if you want…
That’s so weird because I thought the same thing about the flu. I have never had the stomach flu before so I would always tell people that, “I’ve never had the flu.” Then one day someone finally decided to tell me that there are multiple types of flus. Interesting. I’m sorry you’re sick. But yay for buying a new lens!!!
I’m jealous of you getting a new lens. That’s pretty awesome, and a great idea! If you need any help with the desk let me know, but I’d most likely be more of a deterrence than a facilitator. Besides, you have a pink toolbox. That’s more than I have, by way of tools! Oh and about the flu vs. cold thing: I usually just feel way crappy all over when I have the flu, probably because of the fever. But usually if I feel any worse than the normal cold symptoms, I classify it as the flu. Get feeling better!!!
If you feel like your going to die a slow painful death then those are flu symptoms, but if you can still move and function although slower than normal I would call that cold. haha anyway I am super jealous that you have a pink tool box.
You guys were awesome! You’ll have to let me know the next time you guys dance. Peace.
I think off-centered studs on the top lip are pretty hot. Oh, and eye brow piercings.
Hahaha. No, there’s no way to avoid those situations. Unless you stop people-watching. But people-watching is just too much fun. I do it too, and I have had many awkward situations. So sorry, I have no advice.
Haha, awesome! I love 80′s style.
Haha. I love it.
Maybe Good Me (You) should come see us (meaning Jack. He misses you). Rebellious Me (You) can come too if she wants.
LQTM. :) Loved this post!
Who wrote this? This is a phenomenal post and phenomenal copy!
You forgot to mention that magnet stick thing underneath the board is also from Ikea. Cute. I was going to stop by Ikea today on our way back from Manti and get your table for you (because I didn’t know you already had it) and bring it back…good thing I didn’t. Was it shipped to you? And if so, was it expensive? Your scheme looks great. I love matching stuff.
It is a pretty sweet desk. And it wasn’t infuriating to put together, either, so double sweet.
“That was offensive, and lame, so double offensive…”
PS What do you think of Jack’s Mannequin’s new stuff? There are 3 or 4 more songs that we didn’t get yet.
Peace.
SO CUTE! I wish I had a decorating scheme in my room…I somewhat do, but it’s mostly very random. Congrats on the new desk, I hope you two will be very happy together! :D
I’m so happy for you that you finally got your desk! Yay for happiness!
Just wanted to leave you a comment from my new toy!
Peace I’m out.
I also like songs about September.
why is jack number 6?
I love to people watch. Which turns into staring. I really shouldn’t do it but I can’t help. I guess I just like to be awkward and stare at the people sitting across from me on the shuttle.
Ok your blog is completely adorable! Love this list – I’m tempted to copy you. I had no idea you had a blog!
katie, it isn’t in any particular order… neither is it all-inclusive… :)
I figured, since I didn’t see MYSELF on it. Just kidding.
Haha… Buster. Oh man. I just laugh every time I think of him. Hahaha.
haha Buster from Arrested Development is my absolute favorite! I like this idea and I am totally going to copy you!
I really wish I could read your blog from my iPod but the pictures really are great! Peace.
I love your lists, Kristin! I always want to do lists, but I never do.
hey those are really good. very impressed.
Kristin these are so gorgeous! I’m tempted to steal them all from you (I promise I wont). You’re so lucky – I wish I was any good at photography. I’m living vicariously through your picture-taking skills. ;-)
My stupid thing is that I run into stuff that never moves. Like the door. And my bed. I know it’s there and that it never changes position – yet somehow I’m always walking into it. Trust me I’m just as bad as you are lol. Cute post.
HAHA, hey Kristin. I saw your status on facebook and just thought, “hey I’ll check it out.”
My recommendation is to get a spare key and leave it in your wallet or something that you always take with you.
Don’t worry about it, I forget to take of my seat belt off before i try to get out of the car. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve done this. Its funny and so embarrassing every time, but it’s moments like those that make us human.
Haha you’re welcome. You are funny.
BAHAHAHAHA! Textually Active. That is the LAMEST thing I have ever heard. Oh I just might wet myself laughing…
Thanks for changing the font color. oh and the first time I went to it my iPod actually froze your blog!!! Ha.
Hahaha, I wish I had entertaining days like you!
Those are absolutely beautiful! That’s my favorite time of day, I love it! What kind of lens did you use?
Yea I know just how you feel. Coming back up here from Salt Lake the other day – I thought I might die from it lol. Thanks for the sweet comment hun!
Everytime I go to work I smell maure. Our works are very close to each other… maybe it’s Providence.
I have always enjoyed the smell of the fresh country air of Cache Valley. That’s all. :/
Ha ha you like the smell of POOP!
Darn skippy! Ha!
I saw someone playing the air guitar yesterday too! …i don’t really understand it.
It was a fixed 50 mm f/1.8. I love it and I think I’m going to have to buy one of my own!
*Gasp* Pretty! I know who I’m going to for portraits ;-)
Awww!! You’re so nice! I really am not a good model! This was all Kristin! Thanks for letting me shoot you too! Haha ;)
The Extent!? Gosh girl, they are gorgeous!! way to go!
Dang good pictures. Dang good.
Hi hun – left you a present over at my blog! Come see it!
I always knew your beauty was timeless!!
Hahaha oh man. Those are hilarious.
OH MY HECK. I think you are the funniest person I have ever met. 1984 is my favorite.
haha! Those pictures are so funny! I hope you don’t mind me looking at your blog–I found it through Jalene’s! Glad to see you are doing good!
BAHAHAHA!
Those are beautiful Kristin. Of course, having a beautiful subject helps, but the way you’ve composed them is awesome! YAY FOR PHOTOGRAPHY! I’ll come up and we can all shoot each other! :O
Yay, those turned out good! I’m really picky about myself in pictures but you did a good job. I really like the first one of Aubrey and Spencer.
I want to see the rest!
I also really like the No Smoking sign in the window ;)
Man, someone is picky… :) Sorry!!
I love the color your Canon provides…. bah! My Nikon frustrates me in that aspect and I don’t know how to fix that. Good job, Kristin!
good job indeed! And finally, a new post.
Hysterical…Hope you don’t mind if I use this for my own blog…
P.S. I found you on Just Lizabell
Ohhhh that’s mean. I wanna know your secret. Does it have to do with your thoughts being elsewhere…?
I think I can come watch you dance. Me and Jack will be there. :)
Pink sparkly play dough (I almost typed spink parkly…)? That sounds like you.
Rude of that old man. Yesterday I saw two old men trying to rip up a parking lot. They were both wearing tank tops, tight jeans, and hard hats. It was hysterical.
I saw a bunch of dudes wearing pink tank tops today walking up to campus. It was disturbing. One of them had a fro bigger than my face. I may or may not have mumbled something to them as I drove past on my scooter.
And I have a new bag of candy corns. You may not like it though, because it’s a variety pack. Do you like the pumpkin ones?
I also think it is mean that you would tell us you have a secret but not tell us the secret.
Is your mind on someone from the bank?
oh my gosh Kristin!! You are seriously the best! If I am having a bad day, the solution is to look at your blog because I laugh my guts out!! You are so funny. I love that you labeled the cup!! haha I hate hate hate crickets, spiders (I CANNOT kill them, I scream for Brian) or basically anything that crawls! wow!! haha you are great!
hahahah. love it. This happened to me once, only with a almost dead mouse. Me and my friend were up till at least 3 in the morning because of it.
Ok this is maybe the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. Not only did you leave the cup over it – you labeled it! You are the best kristin.
I hope you left weight on the cup because crickets are able to jump and move very quickly. I’m sure a light cup such as the one in the pictures isn’t heavy enought to stop a cricket, especially one of this…grandeur.
If you keep secrets from your mummy(get it?) she won’t buy you candy corn when you come home…
So…if you get home and the cup is tipped over and the cricket(?) is gone are you going to have to move out???? (I would probably consider it :) )
Hey I just stumbled upon your blog and I love it! LMFAOO this is too funny though.
I thought I had left a comment already but apparently not…I still think you’re hysterical. Come on though, new post! You never wait this long.
BAAAAHHHHH! SICK! It’s like a giant black grasshopper which is my least favorite insect ever! You brave girl Kristin, I would’ve just closed it in a room and let it die before I went back in! Those things are so nasty!
Cute! I love it! Make sure you do something fun with Jalene today, I’m sad you are all so far away! :( HAPPY BIRTHDAY JALENE!
This is very cute! I like you both so much and I wish I could hang out with you and celebrate!
You look so little in all those pictures. Aww, you guys really are growing up. ;)
Awwww!!! You’re making me cry! That was so cute, Kristin! Thank you. I have such good friends. I’m glad I have you here too. I wouldn’t have been able to survive the last month without you. I’m so grateful for you in my life.
P.S. Those pictures of us with our eskimo coats makes me laugh every time I look at them. Haha. Especially the ones where we are tackling each other.
I love you, Kristin!
Haha. I meant to head butt her.
I really like the second picture of us. Your eyes look so cool! As always! That was a fun night. Remember when the moth attacked my face?! Ah!
um — i guess BYU shouldn’t have left their first, second, third and fourth strings back in provo–dang bronco. on the other hand, nice job aggies!
Oh and before I get any more anonymous sports people who feel the need to defend their team, let me make one thing clear… I know the Aggies suck! And I know BYU is good! And I know it was extremely unusual for BYU to play like that. Ha ha, that is why this is so funny to me. Oh and also…. I don’t care about football. Goodness.
Grr.. who are those sexy people?! Can’t wait to see the rest…!
wow all of you people have long hair now! Wow that super cool. Sounds like a fun game!
Haha… That was awesome! I can relate to a lot of those! You’ve accidently pulled your alarm?! That’s really funny. I’ve yet to do that. But I did, for the first time, drop my entire drawer the other day. Ugh. One of my biggest fears coming true…
Cash counting skills are rad! I still count and organize my cash (when I have it) in a specific way (biggest bills first) from when I was a teller.
Hi Kristin,
That’s so funny that you lived next door to Jan! Did you know she leaves on her mission next month to Germany? I’m way excited for her. How do you know Wendy? We met about 3 years ago through mutual friends at Weber State. She’s great, I love that girl! How have you been? I visited with Katie for like 2 hours today and saw Jack, he is so cute!
Music is good.
I love snow.
I know it’s awful. It’s not even Halloween yet. It was hailing in Brigham when I drove back up from Salt Lake. No fun.
Wow, I really enjoyed this. I also have quite a few peoples account numbers memorized without even trying. It’s a good job.
It was a great time, except for the inconsiderate people that kept talking during Joshua James. Grrrr.
You should’ve been in the front with us!!
I am glad to know you miss me when we don’t talk. I wanted to call you but I am sooo sick and it hurts to talk. I love you (and we’ll talk about the boots and coat)
You’re welcome.
well on my wish list:
-one $1200 camera to start photoshoots!
-a new cream peacoat, even though i just got a brown one which i love and…
-more decorations from HOBBY LOBBY!! Kristin, I love love that store!
Thanks! I needed some good ideas for new music. You have such good taste.
Don’t forget you need to buy an iPod touch!
Indeed, the power of Joshua James. So good. And yes, the 2nd band did suck. Bad.
When someone asks me to describe you the first word that comes to my mind is “deep”. The second is beautifulfunnysmarttalentedspecialspecialspecial. Your words made me cry today (although it might have been the lortab I just took). Be safe.
I sure am glad that you didn’t get hit. Those are some pretty crazy things to think about. I’ve had similar experiences, some very close calls, and it’s made really wonder what is so important about my life that the Lord kept me here. I still wonder that. Very good post, and again, I’m glad you’re OK.
Me too, I’m really glad you’re okay.
Don’t get hurt girl – we’d all miss you! I like to think that those little things are small reminders to be grateful for all that we’re given in life (like legs – and the ability to dance).
Jared totally killed all the ducks that were killed on Monday. Oh, and Columbus didnt find America.
2:30? You’re crazy.
You’re as bad as I am. I’m way too into my blog lol. Also – October 15th = Blog Action Day (see my blog). Yay for candy!
Greg… yeah, I saw the terrible facebook pictures with the dead ducks and wanted to cry. And… I guess you are right about the Columbus thing… oops. :)
Found your blog through Jason’s. You are funny. Love it!
One day…
…. I will go to Dashboard with a cool chick…no wait, not one day…TODAY!!!!!
Hooray, I love your new picture up there.
Oops sorry that happened twice. Now you have many many comments.
Ha ha ha for just a sec I thought I was really popular.
OOOh, I love the new picture!!!
Jack loves you too, by the way.
you just have to absolutely love this girl. she has her head on straight now doesn’t she? oh, and she dares correct me. you go girl!
I love you Kristin! You’re so inspiring :) I love the new blog template/layout as well! Cute cute jumping picture, did Jalene take that?
Aw sounds like you had fun girl! DC is a great band but I’d have to say I like John Mayer a tad more. I missed his last concert here though. *pouts*
Glad you had a good time hun!
I like your new blog heading :) I’ll see you in a few hours!! Whoop whoop!
You are so welcome. I would say anytime, but their concerts are fairly infrequent…and it’s your turn next time since I won the wrist band competition. It was a great time!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I LOVE FOOD.
Where do you find these crazy website?
I love this! It is so cute.
Haha… You make me life. I spend most of my day reading your blogs. Thanks for entertaining me.
Poor baby! Here’s a hug from momma. Love you.
Well maybe you should come visit if you’re not going to do your homework. Jack always makes you feel better, doesn’t he?
Kristin… You are a beautiful writer. Everything is you say moves me. You are so smart and I just wanted to let you know that I honestly and sincerely admire you so much. You live a beautiful life. Thanks for being an example to me and most importantly one of the greatest friends I’ve ever had. Love you.
Kristin, GREAT POST! I agree with most of them and the ones I don’t agree with are the ones that I needed to hear and need to try out for myself :) thanks
Well…I agree with everything you wrote. [Sincere and ernest] Very good post indeed!
…and that should be “earnest…”
I will dance and karate chop with you tomorrow!
Let’s do it.
After I get off work.
Sounds like fun to me!
Thanks for chatting with me tonight.
I like talking to you.
:)
Thank you for watching Jack sleep. It’s okay that you cried. Sometimes I do the same thing.
I like your post.
Kristin, I came across your blog and I just have to say that I love this post! Seriously those are great words that I think everyone needs to hear, especially me :) You are so great!
You amaze me!
I’m glad someone told me I had a gross black thing by my eye… haha. Thanks friends. I LOOOVEEEEEEEE that first picture of Jack! It’s priceless. You should blow it up real big and frame it. It’s soooo good!
Oh my heck, I love that first one of Jack too. I would like one please…and a lesson, one day. That would be great.
Come visit.
I didn’t know you went to Centerville. No fair.
I would also like you to hurry up and post some of Lacey and Katie’s family so I can see them.
And that is all.
I agree.
Pretty picture. I have a picture of you taking that picture.
What does it say about us when we have photos and photos of us taking photos . . .
How did you get that on your blog? I did one but I can’t figure out how to post it…
I’m glad I have Kristin! What time did you end up leaving by the way??
5:00 :)
ahhh! i love the nienie epidemic! its making me soo happy! she’s so amazing huh? ah i’m glad everyone is reading her! i’ve been silently enjoying it and feel so lame that i haven’t spread the word more but something as amaazing as her naturally spreads like wildfire.
.cute blog!!
So…..I just found out…. It says “This car hears my confessions.” Sorry for misleading you.
Hahahahaha. Me too. I am also afraid of seeing all you scary zombie girls tonight…seriously. But looking forward to it. :)
Wow.
You were one of the dolls at the Howl? I had no idea….I probably passed you and didn’t even recognize you! Did you have fun?
Beautiful! The lighting and composition on the last picture are awesome! Way to go Kristin! :)
Yes.
Oh, pretty. Teach me…
Yay for that tree! Dang! Your pictures are probably way better than the ones I would’ve taken of that tree. Let’s stop there again soon! It’s such an awesome tree. So much character. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that last picture. SO beautiful, Kristin! Nice work!
Yes. :)
I’m excited to see the video, but I still feel like twmitw (the worst mom in the world) for not being there in person. But I probably would have been creeped out and slightly alarmed at your pleasure in scaring people. Plus I probably would have been scared by all the 20-somethings who would have look at me strangely and wondered why someone my age was there and then I would have started to feel really old except for a lot of people tell me I don’t look old enough to have kids as old as you all are and even a grandbaby and I tell them it’s because I invest in a good moisturizer and wear sunglasses a lot — but anyhow — I promise to watch the video 10 times standing up so it’s just like I was there. :) Love ya
Ha ha ha ha ha… I love you too, Mom.
Yay, I was wondering what was wrong. I did have much to say…
I am working on the video. I can’t figure out how to load it on my computer but I will keep trying.
Yay! And I love your 3 comments in a row….Made me SO happy! ;)
Eff. Looks like I’m nobody.
Haha, the ESLC is impossible to pass without looking at yourself at least 3 times…. which could add up to nine times if you pass the building 3 times in one day…. ;)
I love this post – very adorable. And very you!
I USE THE HANDICAP STALL TOO!! For some reason I feel like it’s cleaner than the other ones (most of the time.)
Back atcha
*cookie dough beats cookies anyday
*sweats are proof that God loves us and wants us to be comfortable
*when you’re old you will fondly remember the days you could stay awake until 2:30
*If I were as cute as you I would seek out reflective surfaces
*sometimes you crack me up
*shopping is also proof that God wants us to be happy
*I also take off my shoes whenever possible(even at work :) )
*I much prefer the handicapped stall because the door opens out so you don’t feel like you’re going to fall in the toilet when you open the door
Don’t say hell ;)
I’m sorry I gave you an allergic reaction. :(
A lot of this must be genetic.
You make me laugh. Although, I pride myself in the fact that I think I already knew all that stuff about you. :)
good luck.
Hell is ok to say… Oh, and what church do you belong to? I’d like to know more about it…
You crack me up all the time! Oh, and what is nie nie?
Sweet! I hate blind dates. Never a good experience. So was he cute?
Great job, I think they turned out perfect!
Those turned out sooooo cute! I love the family picture of Karl, Madison and I where we are kissing and Madison is puckering up her lips. You did a really good job, thank you so much for taking our pictures. If you ever want more experience let us know :) we would gladly be your test dummies.
Good job Kristin! I like the vinjetting (sp?) on the first one with the little girl with the bow in her hair.
Yay! Kristen I LOVE them! You are very talented. I know it’s crazy working with so many people, but you did awesome! Thanks so much for doing this for us — we really appreciate it! :)
They look pretty good Kristin!
Thank you so much, Kristen! I know it was kind of crazy, but you did an awesome job!
hi kristin! this is jamie (sorensen) remember me!? your blog is absolutely darling. well a while back katie posted some pics you took of her little family and also mentioned you were looking for some practice :) i was wondering if perhaps you would want to take a few snapshots of my husband and me sometime?? maybe if you’re ever in centerville the same time as us we could possibly work something out. no pressure, just thought it could be fun! let me know!
LUJAH!!!! For Veteran’s Day!
Krafts with Kristin was the best! So much fun. I’m glad you are Kristin and I’m glad you are my friend.
Haha, cute post. Also, you can call it Crafts with Kristin as long as you don’t spell it with a K. But good idea. :)
P.S. I saw Jamie’s comment; she will be in Centerville over Thanksgiving, just so you know.
CUTE! :)
Very cute kristin! Congratulations on productivness…if only I could be so motivated…
Sounds like a fun weekend! Bank holidays are the best.
sure do like ingrid.
You read my mind. I was going to ask you to send me your favorite new music every so often because I always love what you pick! Thanks!
Based on the one time you were at my house and we had the music discussion, I would like to recommend a couple of musicians:
Mike Doughty (specifically anything off of the Skittish album)
The Old 97s (Fight Songs is my favorite album).
The Loved Ones (Keep Your Heart album, specifically the song Jane)
And of course anything and everything by Rancid and The Bouncing Souls.
Um, you did that with a chocolate satin pie from Marie Calendar’s once too. Yuck.
I know, I was remembering that. Except that was an entire piece. And it fell on the kitchen floor. Ha ha. It was still delicious.
Sick.
Haha! I love that you did this. It makes me laugh.
We should be friends. I am so happy you don’t let good food go to waste! Haha, seriously…just blow off the dust and get on with your life. Our stomachs are stronger than everybody thinks. :)
Good for you! No sense in letting a perfectly good bite of cheesecake go to waste!
I don’t get it…
Cat…
Fish…
Crayola?
OH! Haha… I get it now.
I thought they were all connected somehow telling a story. I was like, “What does a crayon have to do with a cat and fish?” Hahahaha. That’s funny. You’re cool.
Why do I think you weren’t very busy at work today :)
K I must be dumb. I really don’t get it.
Yeah, never mind… That’s pretty rad!
there’s nothing to get. it’s just little pictures.
Haha, I love these things. I'll teach you a mouse:
()()
<" )~
" "
TAH DAH! :D
Haha, love you! 10 second rule! Lint, hair, and a little dirt never hurt anyone. It’s a small price to pay for the deliciousness of cheesecake. “Mmmm, so moist” :)
That is way rad! I love it!
GORGEOUS. I love it.
how freaking crazy i share every.single.confession.
you are AWESOME.
yup i room with sara! she’s super bad a i love her.
I was JUST in the library too. Probably the same time you were. Aw man. I wish I knew you were in there because then I could’ve come sat by you and chatted for a bit. I like chatting with you. You are cool. I’m sorry about all the tests. I wish you luck. And I don’t think you’re crazy. :)
Oh man, Kristin. You aren’t crazy….just funny. Good luck with that. :)
P.S. Could you come watch Jack on Wednesday? Call me when you can.
Haha… Oh Kristin. I like you. Scott said Steve Nash used to have long gross hair and he thought he was a rapist. Haha. It kind of sounds like a rapist name. And yes Daron looked way hot. I pretty much love him. I wish he would heal so he could come back and play.
Dang, too bad you didn’t watch the game with me. I was all alone and thinking all (okay, most) of that stuff.
Maybe it will happen Saturday… nudge nudge… wink wink :) Haha
You should get some fortune cookies, maybe they’ll give you a clue as to what it is….for example: my last fortune said “redecorating will be in your future.” I forgot about it, we bought a couch, then I found the fortune in a jacket pocket. Coincidence? I think not.
Hmmm… interesting….
Apathy is my middle name. Good to know someone else suffers from this! :)
Um, I’ll eat your organic animal crackers. I think they’re delicious.
And I wish I could come watch you dance…I’m never disappointed.
Oh yeah, and YAY for the cabin! We are also terribly excited.
Where’s your cabin at?!! I want to go! That is SO exciting! I’ve missed you. I’m ready for you to come back to the world. :)
I have some wheat Ritz crackers, but that’s all the food that I have in the house….well that, cheese and Mountain Dew.
And if you spent Christmas in a cabin, sipping hot cocoa while cozying up by the fire in the seclusion of the woods, I would be terribly jealous.
The fire part may take a while — we have to put in a fireplace/woodburning stove. (I may have forgotten to mention that).
I think I am going to come to your performance Kristin. I was just thinking the other day that I wanted to watch you dance with your company. :)
Are you sure that you’re not thinking of an “escort service?” :)
Very impressed with your e-pizza.
And by the way, if you’re really interested in online dating it really does exist. Sorry though, I don’t think ordering men from your couch is a great idea.
I agree with m. (Hey are you the ‘M’ from James Bond? JK.) You could also order a pizza from the Hot Cops. I’m sure they’d oblige, and hey, they probably better looking than the teenage pizza boy from today. It’s a win-win-win situation.
MMM…that sounds way good…and is making me really hungry…
Haha… Kristin you are funny. I can’t believe you wrote “Kay.” haha
internet shopping is my very favorite kind of shopping!!! espeically shoes!! i like pizza.
We are all pretty big BYU haters here in Blapt14. So GO UTAH! I kind of do like that the semester is almost over, but to be right honest, it scares the pants off of me!
Blapt?!!!!!!! Haha…. That’s so funny.
Hey Kristin! Move into Blapt “Taiwan” :)
Haha…have fun at the game. :) Just cheer for whoever is ahead.
I don’t care who wins either. I just tell people I am cheering for whoever they are cheering for.
yes yes yes. with only a few choice exceptions facial hair in general is just not a good thing.
Pretty sure that riding a scooter in the winter merits a beard to keep me warm. And I can’t believe you had a crush on soul patch!!! Hahaha!
Oh and I WILL have a mustache for at least a month. Hope you’ll still be my friend!!!
Wow. You seem way too informed. :)
Soul Patch huh Kristin? hmmm I’m not really sure I have anything else to comment on that ;)
I seem to find this post disturbing on a number of levels — just not sure what they are. . .
Don’t feel obligated to cheer for BYU on Jan’s part…. he is his own biggest fan and needs no provocation ;)
If you’re cold, Kristin, I’m sure soul patch will be more than willing to keep you warm and cozy…we’ll just have to do something about that serious girlfriend of his…
…
…
…or you can just come over here and snuggle with Micah! ;)
Me too! I have been singing Christmas songs to Jack and I feel a little like I am betraying Thanksgiving. I guess that’s what it gets for coming so late this year…
Haha it was those candy cane Hershey kisses that did it to us. We bought some, ate them, and couldn’t stop the Christmas spirit. Our house is decorated, gifts are bought…let the festivities begin!
Whoa! Super crazy, Kristin!! I’m glad I don’t have nightmares anymore. Though it would be cool to be a prisoner in some war (in a dream, of course…).
Oh. My. Gosh. Hahaha. I laughed out loud when I read this post. That is so funny. I wonder if my complicated relationship life inspired this dream of yours. Haha. Wow. And I’m glad the second one turned out ok… Having Thanksgiving dinner with the troops sounds fun.
With the troops…ha ha…on the safe side of the border…ha ha ha…oh you crack me up.
I love love love them all. Good job!
Cute! Good job! I really like the 2nd one. The tones are right on!
Very good pictures!
thanks kristin, you are the best!
Boring?? What are you talking about? It’s Christmas time AND you get to come see Jack tonight. Isn’t that exciting enough??
Oh yes, and if you want to do something even more exciting you can come be crafty with me. That’s what I’ve been doing lately.
You have my permission (as if you need it ) to quit school (but not work) and focus on photography. If that is your passion, then pursue it.
I’m sorry that I bore you! ;) I agree with the lady from James Bond, AKA M. Quit!!!
Me!! I want to help.
This has nothing to do with your post but I just saw some really cool pictures my friend Elizabeth took. Go to her blog…she’s at the very bottom of my link list.
Christmas gifts, Christmas gifts! That’s my vote.
I like 4 and 5, but they’re pretty much the same thing, right?? Right.
Here’s my reasoning – if you go with #4 and buy photography stuff you can start selling your photographs and make the money back, thus the initial spending of your money isn’t so much “buying” as it is “investing”. Investing in your future. See? Photography stuff!
*Note: This is the basic script I use when justifying something I want to buy for myself. Seems to work well. : )
I LOVE Love Storry by Taylor Swift. It is a great song!!!!
P.S. We need to hang out. I miss you!
Good luck!!!
Hurray!!!
100 posts?! Congratulations! That’s really impressive. I think I’m at like 30. PS I think that you’re a great listener!!!
I want to hear you!!!
This made my day. I was feeling quite upset about the snow. This made me really think about why it’s good. Thanks!
I have NO idea what you are talking about.
A few things…
I used to cheat at the counting game too.
Hot chocolate is disgusting.
You forgot peppermint chocolate kisses.
And congrats on one hundred posts. I am very impressed. :)
Wow! Congrats. I like talking to you and listening to you. You are so smart and always have such great things to say.
Hey… move into my apartment this week. Ya?? :)
Hey I saw you and your $66!!! Happy Day!
When Kristin is happy I am happy!
Yay Kristin! You’re so lucky! I still have two more days.
Hooray! I want a day like that…next Monday perhaps…
Oh no! That is so sad. I’m sorry! :(
I’m so sorry! That stinks! It is so hard to find someone who can make your hair do what you want it to. I need to find a new hair person. It is time. Let me know if you find a fantastic hairdresser!
I really have liked the way my aging barbie transvetite stylist does my hair — although I have heard complaints from others. It could be a risk but if you want to go to her when you are here next I’ll pay for it. (Same goes for Katie)
I have had that happen to me before. It is no fun at all! I’m way sorry.
Hmmm…. sounds like your illegal activities were similar to mine a little while ago. Except I was pushed into the manhole a little faster than I wanted to go, so my shoulders were pulled in ways they were never meant to go.
There’s a bunch of stuff you’re “not saying” in this post but I know about both of them. But don’t worry…I’m “not saying” either.
And cute birthday post. Dustin’s glad he has such an awesome sister-in-law too, so right back atcha.
And your hair? When I saw it it was cute. But I’m sorry you hate it. I know the feeling well.
Wahoo! You live with me now! I’m soooo happy!
And it can only get better right?? Baby Jack is excited to see you tonight. And so are we. :)
Yay! Good for you.
Wow! I need to talk to you. I’m SO curious.
What in the heck does “in the sisterhood” mean? Either way, I think I qualify to hear this story, seein’s how I’m immediate family. I feel so lucky. Oh, and I think it should be soon. So…one night this week maybe you can come babysit while I go visiting teaching and then you can tell me?
woot woot for you Kristin!! I’m clearly not in the sisterhood so i’ll be staying tuned because i am intrigued!! Good on you though:)
Dear Kristin,
You are very firmly on my “nice” list. I am glad that you are appreciative of your blessings — you are a blessing to those around you. I will carefully consider your wish list. Love, Santa
If you are looking for someone to GIVE all those clothes that you are so sick of to, please consider me.
Oh, and I was JUST going to tell you that I think you need to start labeling your posts. And then I saw that you did. We must be of the same mind.
You are too cute. I heart you a lot. Come back to Logan soon because I am lonely up here. :) Loves.
Didn’t like Joshua James that much eh?
Oh and PSS I enjoyed it very much. Thank you!!! Oh and sorry that I left so many comments. It’s not to be deceiving so that you think more people commented. I just kept remembering things. I’m out.
Hahahahahaha! I do a pretty good a cappella version of Frosty. You shouldn’t judge a song without hearing all possible versions! Ha! OK, I’m just kidding. I don’t sing that song. And I wouldn’t want you to have to go through the pain of hearing all possible versions of Frosty in order to make a fair assessment of its worth. I’m done.
I may have been a couple of those hits. I was redoing my blog and Safari kept shutting down when I was adding the links on the sidebar, so I had to keep going to it to grap the url. But not 200 times-worth, I can promise you that!
And hurrah for Christmas!!! :)
Yay! I’m glad you like my present. And I’m sorry about the people upstairs. It is quite annoying.
Christmas Time! Christmas Time!
I love Kristin!
Hahaha. You make me laugh.
I’m sorry about your car. The other morning when we got in our car I could have sworn it was colder inside the car than outside…but we have a heater so it warmed up pretty fast. So I am very sorry.
I would feed you but we have no food either. I am not grocery shopping until after Christmas. I could feed you scrambled eggs. Let me know if you want some.
Thanks in advance for Jack’s presents…I’m really exicted.
And I’m glad you’re using your countdown. Doesn’t it make you feel like a little girl again? Only this year we don’t have to fight about who gets to change it because we each have our own. :)
Your apartment looks lovely. I love all the lights! How fun! :)
ME TOO. My list of things to do has been ruined.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. Forever.
:(
And of course, by that I mean that I want it to snow here in Denver, not in Logan or the Wasatch Front! It won’t snow here except for a little, little bit.
I had to drive a distance of 20 blocks back and forth twice today. Thanks to the blizzard it took me a grand total of two hours. It definitely needs to stop!!!
Heh heh heh. I have to say that I am one of those new mystery-hits.
This is Kelsi. Kenny’s little sister. We met last night (ish). If you don’t remember.
I am now a regular reader of your blog.
It’s a good blog, p.s.
I love reading your blog. It’s so fun! Yay for Christmas!!
I think I would like to see a picture of him. That is all I will say.
You are NOT alone in Logan because we are here. I know we’re not as good as Kenny but we’re still pretty good, aren’t we?
And I think Dustin would like to make it known that it was his awesome driving skills that got us through that terrible storm last year. As well as the angels.
WOOT WOOT KRISTIN!!! I’m glad you enjoyed your weekend with the Browns!! I know the feeling you have with being back in Logan :) Have fun and drive SAFE!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Yay for Kenny! Aren’t fun people the best? Also I haven’t heard of many decent job openings lately. Why did you have to leave the bank hun?
Hope you have a merry Christmas! And drive safe!
I’m glad you are happy. Happy is good.
Me too! Man, maybe I need to get me some of this Kenny-lovin! Hahahaha!
Hey, I woke up around 5-5:30 this morning too. And I haven’t been able to fall back asleep. :(
Happy Christmas Eve to you too.
Hey, I DIDN’T wake up at 5:00 this morning and I am quite happy with Baby Jack about that. And good job on the wrapping. Our presents are pretty boring. But good.
Cute presents!
Guitar lessons? Hmm, yeah, but I’m give me some time to learn how to play first, k?
Sounds like you have a pretty great Christmas, which makes me happy. Glad you had a good time…and ps….I think he likes you too… :)
Hey what happened to your music player at the bottom of the page?
…I did. :)
Yup. Knew a few of those. Mexico though? Wow. Soak in the non-freezing-ness! :)
Awww cute. I’m glad he was happy for you…
These are so cute kristin! Jack has the most adorable smile. We need to hang out soon!
That deleted comment was me. I accidently said the same thing twice. Oops! Sorry…
I really like the last one. And the one of Briana and Jack. Good job!
C.U.T.E!!!!
The laughing ones are the best.
Word. Thanks again for the present!!! :)
I would like for you to give me these one day. :)
That IS cute! :) Except…Kenny looks like he is pinching your chin…and that kinda looks painful. Haha!
Oh I thought it was going to be another picture of you and Jack…
:)
Just kidding…That really is cute.
But really, what is he doing to your chin?
Hahahaha! What IS he doing to your chin? It looks like he may be plucking a tiny little hair that may have sprouted on your chin. That would be funny. But I don’t think you would grow hair on your chin. But very very cute picture. :)
VERY cute!!!
Why didn’t you mention what restaurant that is employing you? But no worries…I know…I know! Ha!
PS I WON A KEY CHAIN!!! YAY! :) Thanks again.
Yeah, I am wondering what restaurant you are going to work at! Are you going to serve or be a hostess? And I’m glad you’re happy. That’s always such a great feeling! :)
So where do you work again?
I think you need to fix your profile info. :)
Aw, that made me smile. Even if it is my sister kissing a boy.
Haha. Scott changed his FB status to this once. It was awesome.
Awww…that’s really cute! Love the light behind you. Btw, nice impersonation of Buddy the Elf! ;)
This is so beautiful
This is soooo CUTE kristin!!!!
I want one…
wow! those look real real good!!
ahh!! I love this. It gives me the tingles. I’m so happy and excited for you
Haha, brethren night! How kind of you to make them cupcakes. And “man friends”? Hysterical. :)
Kristin!!! Are you guys going to get hitched?! Ahhh you two are sooo cute!!
Haha! This is why I hate playing games. I hate the contention. Jordan Davies is the worst to play with.
let the records say that you’re attempted coup de etat in monopoly was destroyed by my awesomeness.
Kenny may forgive you but I do not. just kidding.
Hahahahaha. Kristin, I can sympathize with you, because I hate that wretched Blokkus. It is such a frustrating game. And don’t feel too bad about getting contentious whilst playing games with Kenny–it is almost impossible not to, because he is rottenly competitive and it feels so delicious to shove that arrogance right back down his throat.
Not that I’m bitter or anything.
Poor girl!! I’m sorry that has been rough. That must have been some sort of crazy head bump to cause a black eye and bloody nose. Ouch! Hope things get better :)
Ouch. If it helps…I’ve fallen out of the bus every year for three years. And every time the bus has been full. Also, I hit my head on the doorknob twice this week. But you win. I’ve never been hit with someone’s head. I don’t think. Or gotten his blood on me. That’s just gross. Haha.
Maybe you two need to calm down a little bit if you’re hitting your eye on his head and making his nose bleed! Wow! Haha.
I accidentally elbowed Scott in the eye the other day. You guys can be twinner black eye people.
Oh sad…for me. I’ll just pretend I’m there. Or maybe Jack and Mom and I will do something cooler while you’re gone.
luckyyyyyy i love reading your blog!! i am dying for a nice warm vacation in mexico!
also…somehow my aunt knows you? haha joanne (carlsen) huff? haha do you know how? crazy small world we live in.
clwalkers@gmail.com our blog is private so if you want to be added just email me there!
lindsey st jeor walker
I know I’m digging back a little bit but…this picture is so CUTE. I love it!
You are so lucky you get to go to Mexico with Kenny. I’m so amazingly jealous of you. And I will miss you, my dear roommate, when you are gone.
You are very good. I turn a leaf….and then I turn it right back… Good luck!
And coming to the game with me!!!!!!!! Right??
Have fun in Salt Lake. Wish I could come…
whats the big secret!!! Your killin me!! Tell Us Tell Us Tell Us!!
You are so cryptic! It slays me…I’m waiting eagerly to read what the heck you are talking about!
However, I do have my suspicions. :)
Your follow through was great! Good job being scrappy, I hope we can do it again… for some reason my creative juices were flowing with you here.
And thanks for making me laugh this morning!
Dustin is just jealous because you have a creative blog and cute shoes. :)
Do you need medication? or an appointment with a psychiatrist? Just let me know. . . :)
Cute! I love that picture! I’m so excited to come back to Logan and see you my dear roommate and friend! I miss you!
I love that movie! Hahahaha!
Cute photo. Where was that taken. Also, sorry about the fall. Pretty sure it was my fault.
Wow, Kristin. That was really good. Thank you!
That is amazing! It’s so poetic and real. Thanks for the reminder :) Seriously amazing!
Oh man, I so wish I was going… please tell Summer hello for me while you’re there. Also, I think it’s wintery, not wintry?
haha This is so awesome! I was totally just thinking the same exact things. Tell summer to hurry here when you see it!
I just want you to know that Scott and I are SUPER SUPER angry at you and Kenny for leaving us for Mexico. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take us with you!!!! Seriously… why did you have to remind me of this?
Ha! I think that Kristin’s needs are even better than my own! That was fantastic.
Hahaha! Those very WAY funnier than mine. I had tons of favorites.
What a big arm that is too!
Welcome back! I’m sorry that you are peeling…but…that means you saw the sun. How great is that? Also…you poor, pale white people. I must say I never have that problem. ;)
Yes I saw that poor boy this morning in class and he looked quite sore…. You really should take better care of Kenny Kristin…. I expected better things from you ;)
Cool phone. I want to see it in real life. And I’m glad you had a fun trip. And since everyone else is doing it… here: ;)
Good news and bad news —
BAD = it’s supposed to snow tonight :(
GOOD = your car heater works :)
and here’s mine ;)
Great Picture of the foot prints on the sand.
I love our dad too. COOL picture of him in the sunset.
Where is he going? And can you still come over tomorrow night? Jack’s new bedtime is 8:00…
Awwwww!
I feel EXACTLY the same way. I have many more thoughts on this that we should discuss sometimes. Because I like discussing things with you. :) Miss you. See you soon!
Looks rad!
That trip looks amazing! How lucky for you to have a dad that’s a pilot and can take you to these amazing place! It honestly looks like a piece of paradise. That second whale pictures is AMAZING! :)
That picture of your “studly dad” is astonishingly beautiful! :) I wanna see it big!
Ooh, I’ll most def check back later today… Ha!
Breathtaking.
I love love love it. Pretty.
And great story, by the way. Yes, you are rad.
Pretty diamond! :) I want to see it in real life. I am so happy for you guys!
I can’t stop giggling like a little girl!! Hahaha! I love the second picture. It describes you both so well. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations!!! That is so exciting! And that ring is BEAUTIFUL. Congrats!
Oh Kristin! I’m so happy for you! Congratulations! :)
Congratulations!! That is so awesome! Love the ring!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Thats awesome Kristin you two are so good for eachother! Well done.
Congratulations!!! I’m SO happy for you!
wahooo! Yeah for Kristin and Kenny! Kristin, your ring is so pretty. Did you pick it out together?
It’s me again. I can’t stop looking at it. It’s so beautiful and I am so happy for you.
congrats!!! that is so exciting!
lindsey walker
Well I knew this was going to happen eventually but then I look at your blog and all the sudden there’s a ring your finger! YAY! Love you Kristin! Congratulations! :D
Alright! The day finally came. Congratulations! And pretty ring, it’s very vintagey.
OH MY GOSH!!! Kristin I am so excited for you! When Katie told me today I was so so excited. If you need someone to take your engagements for cheap just let me know I would love to play around with you two!! haha I LOVE LOVE your ring, it is beautiful!! Congrats again.
me AGAIN…when can I see this thing in real life??
ahh congrats! you look so happy! very cute.
Kristin!!! I’m soooo happy for you! Congratulations!! :)
Hey! I’m still up for this offer! Don’t forget me. :) Let’s set a day!
Kristin you can always take pictures of me so long as they do my brilliant features justice ;)
Perhaps a double shoot? Haha, actually I was really thinking of asking you to do a photo shoot for me, so I can put them up on my website portfolio. But it doesn’t have to be free. By the way this is Krista…not Kelsha…though she would appreciate a photo shoot as well…only for free…
Baby Spaub will want pictures!
i just spent forever reading your blog! its amazing and so is this photo :)
you can take pictures of Brian and I. we need some updated ones! Can I take some of you…for free!!
You forgot the fact that you may or may not have also tried on like four or five hundred veils… And good job for not letting Kenny see it. Are you working on addresses?
Hahaha, you’re funny. Three weeks… you wish!
QUIT!
Not fun. :(
QUIT!
haha three weeks, I just about died!! Congrats I thought august was way to far away!!
CUTE! That’s the day after my parent’s anniversary! :)
haha, I got the fortune on Jalene’s birthday in 2005 i think it was. Remember that bean?
Hahahahahaha! Yes, oh my goodness. When I saw this it made me so happy inside. That is one of the funniest videos of Lindsey. My 18th birthday was the best!
Hahaha! Funny. I always get useless advice. :)
Oh Kristin, you make me laugh. But for once in my life, I agree with you.
hahaha! This is great. I agree 100%!
HEY! It’s Lindsey’s fortune! Hahaha! “Thrilling times are in your immediate fut-cha!”
I’m not at all offended. Actually Kendall and I have been deleting friends left and right. Don’t worry, you made the cut…
Everything you said is true. I’m so guilty. It’s just….I hate homework so much more…
Facebook is lame and I’m so addicted to it that you’ve inspired me to limit my intake of it. Life has so much more to offer. Thanks for the “intervention” :)
There are so many cute glasses out there! Pick your favorite color and get frames that match! :)
I think your glasses are cute. At least you look good in them.
I’m sorry for the bad news Kristin :( But at least the good news is that you’re super cute in glasses.
I was just thinking when I saw you last week that you look so cute in glasses.
You know I’ll be there. :)
you did so awesome! It made me want to be a better person!
I love them all. Especially the one of you doing your solo. Good job.
I love these pictures. I am SO excited for summer!
Are you also excited for the snow this week???
It didn’t used to be nice and organized! Can you guess why it is now? I will give you one shot…
I didn’t know you had to wear a tie.
Congratulations!
and yay for the peter pictures! we love them!
Kristin, congrats on being engaged, by the way! I love the spring pictures you took, they are beautiful, you are so talented!
Yay!! Congratulations!
Awesome. I interviewed for a job today. :)
Haha, good luck. I hope he still wants to marry you after this! :)
Running = YUCK. Good luck!
Kristin you are a rock star! I bet you have a secret talent of running. I just hope you went easy on Kenny we all know what happens when he loses ;)
Beautiful!
Those are so great Kristin! I love her blue shirt!
I love these! Great job!
Good job! I want to see more…
These are good pictures.
Love these!
I love these pictures. They are so cute!
Don’t explode. We’d have to clean up the mess.
And what a mess that would be… ;) You’ll be fine! If anyone can pull it off with finesse, it will be you!
What can I do to help you?
Yeah, me too?
I am sad you are not here. :(
I know exactly what you mean about stressful dreams after stressful shows. I have Prison Break dreams all the time. And I’m always running. I’m excited to see Wolverine though. I think it’ll be fun. For a second I was like, Hey, she has a friend named Traci too…and then I realized it was the same one. ;)
So I totally don’t feel bad for you at all that you and Kenny were apart for 48 hours…
and I miss you being in Logan.
Ah, spring cleaning. I started it today, piles strewn about, then I decided I was bored with it so we have to step around the piles. But when you’re done I’m sure you’ll feel GLORIOUS!
Haha. You sound like Junie B. Jones. If you have any clothes in your DI pile don’t get rid of them until I look through it…
I love organization!! Yay for you! And extra YAY for you having a boy run up to you a shower you with kisses! Woohoo! ;)
Mine was very boring: I didn’t swell up, I didn’t bruise, but I couldn’t eat for a month. I recommend Jamba. :)
What the heck…??? I didn’t know you were getting your teeth out today. Good luck with that.
Yay! I hope my advice works okay for you. I’m honored to mentioned on your blog.
My worst days were the 3rd and 4th. I didn’t really swell until then. But I’m hoping you don’t at all! I felt like you did on the first day, but it got worse for me. I hope to see you tomorrow!
Cool! I just looked at Jasmine Star’s website. She has a fun business flare, I like it! :) You’ll be awesome Kristin Brown!
That’s my baby! I love the pictures! Thanks so much!
I am afraid that I will die too when they put me to sleep! Good to know that you made it through ok.
YAY! I’m so glad you’re feeling better and not looking so “cuddly”.
Cute!! You both were really cute children… and adults of course. You’ll have cute little Kristin’s and Kenny’s. I like you guys. And I miss you. Logan is somewhat lonely. :)
Wow. That is a big job. When we did it for our wedding Spencer’s mom pulled out like 10-15 huge albums just of him. I went through an old shoe box to get mine. I’m sure glad for the digitalness of today’s photos!
All your hard work has paid off Kristin, those are such cute pictures! You two are going to have super cute kids ;) I’m so happy for you two!
Aw…those are adorable!
oh you guys are so cute! Yay for only 1 more month!!
I love it! Yup, it’s certain, you’re going to have cute chillens. and Yeah for one more month!!!
YOU are GORGEOUS, Kristin! I love all these pictures. They are so cute!
Too bad I won’t be in Logan on Sunday. :( It’s Taylor Davies’ farewell.
How fun!!! How did your bridal photos go?
Yay for church in Logan! That means I get to see you! :D
YAY! Congratulations! You’re so cool!
That is awesome! I love your pictures. And I love the header with your name, that’s so cute!
Love the website and the header! Great job Kristin! Where did you build your website from? Oh and by the way/..Brown just rolls of the tongue real nice!! :) I am so excited for ya
Mine too!
Kristin,
I want to see the rest of these pictures, please.
Squall
Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!! I love it. I want to see more.
And I’m sorry you’re stressed. Can I do anything for you?
Post the rest!!!
Seriously. I want to see the rest of these too!
That was beautiful. I kind of wanted to cry a little bit. I’m so extremely happy for you. I can’t imagine someone better for you than Kenny. You guys are a great example of a great relationship. I’ve loved watching you progress over the last little while.
And the picture is beautiful as well!
Love you, Kristin! I can’t believe it’s only 17 days!!! Wow!
Dang it. I wanted to be the first to leave a comment but this wasn’t working earlier. Oh well. This is very beautiful. It’s such a beautiful, wonderful, incredible thing to get married and to be able to be the start of a new family. I’m so happy for you!
ahh, wow, that was indeed beautiful. Nothing can make you feel more at peace than the one you love. You described everything so perfectly. Family really is the best thing. I felt that, overwhelmingly, on our wedding day. I’m so excited for you. I got your wedding announcement today and I love it! So you, so cute! See you this weekend, Kristin. Love you
you said that perfectly! loved it! you look beautiful in that picture!
Beautiful pictures! Love the signature at the bottom! :)
That’s so awesome, Kristin. I think I may need to follow in your footsteps. And by that I mean becoming a real photographer, and not marrying Kenny.
I am so glad that you did their family pictures! They turned out FABULOUSLY! I know you get nervous about the big groups, but you sure do a great job at them. :)
Oh good luck! I just saw Erica’s pics the other day, and they’re beautiful! You are certainly justified in getting that five grand, wherever it comes from. And Jason? I just don’t understand….you don’t want to marry Kenny? ;)
You definitely deserve the $5,000! You are so talented! By the way I love my pictures. Thank you!
YAY Kenny! Good job!
Haha cute. I think you and your soon to be husband are cute faces. Come back to Logan, already!
26.2 miles. In 3:12? Sick. You both look adorable though. But still…sick…
Dear Aunt Kristin,
I love you too! Thanks for putting pictures of me on your blog. I can't believe I've known you for a whole year. Thanks for always babysitting me and playing with me. I like when you come to visit. I'm glad I have such a good aunt who likes to take care of me. I'm excited to see you soon!
Love, Jack
YAY! Hahaha, you two are so cute! I'm so impressed with his running skills. I like running and all, but a marathon is so nuts! Impressive! :)
Good luck!
Kristin, these are beautiful. How do you do that awesome antique effect on number 4? Beautiful! See you Saturday! AAAHHHH! :D
Thank you! On that one, I think I just did a black and white layer, a sepia layer, and then added some grain and a vignette… I think. :)
Yes we will definitely be seeing each other this weekend… YAY!!!!
Beautiful picture. You, my friend, are very talented.
YAY! Kristin + Kenny = Forever, as of tomorrow! :D I'm so excited for you. And today there is no rain, so hopefully it'll stay away for your happy day! See you tomorrow!
I looked at the weather and it said 40% chance of precip. I'm crossing my fingers for you!!! But even it does rain you and Kenny will become an eternal family which is about the happiest thing ever! I'm so excited to see you and your beautifulness tomorrow! :)
Yay, yay, yay!! Enjoy your last day of being a Hoddenbach. I'm so excited to see you tomorrow. Cherish every second of it, cuz it goes by way to quickly. Love you so much!
i'll pray that the weather stays nice! congrats!
Krsitin, when you get done getting married and all that, here's a link for the episode you missed. You can also watch the results show here. Good luck today!!!
Hey Kristin,
The BEST of the best wishes to you and Kenny! I'll try my darndest to make it to the reception (currently very, VERY carless), but if I can't, know that I love you both. You are going to be so, so happy (not that you aren't now) and I'm so excited for you! Happy Wedding Day!
Chess
Kristin,
Your wedding was absolutely beautiful, and you looked absolutely GORGEOUS!!! I am so glad that Jake and I could make it down for the reception. I just wanted to let you know. I hope you are having an awesome time and I am so glad that we are friends/ old room mates. Love ya!
Kristin! I love this picture. It is so cute. And I love Erica and Chandler's pictures :) I adore the waterfall in the background…Where were they taken?
Oh I missed you so much. I've been checking for a post to see when you would be back. Let's get together soon! Hope you're doing well. MUWAHHHH (that's a kiss noise not evil cackle)
ahh! I love you guys. I'm glad you had fun and that you're loving being married. There's no happiness like marriage!
Cute!!! I want to hear ALLLLL about it! Please do enlighten me! And pictures too!
YAY, The Double K are home! How was your Honeymoon? We need to play again! :D Here are some more pics from your wedding:
http://lindsay-loves-life.blogspot.com/2009/06/mr-mrs-brown_13.html
Love you!
Kristin, your wedding day was beautiful in absolutely every way. I can't express how happy I was that day to celebrate with you and Kenny.
Oh, and I did get to eat a piece of the cake, and I must say, it was delicious! I can say that it was still much enjoyed, even if it wasn't in the way you wanted it to be.
Oh I loved this day. So fun and wonderful! Let's play soon PLEASE!!!
I like the one of you and Kenny kissing… but who's that lady in the back? I wanted her to move so bad.
I'm sad I haven't seen you since your return. Until tomorrow…
And you did know that they served the cake in pieces at the reception, right?
Cute! I kind of forgot you were married. Well not forgot… but just like remembered that you and Kenny live in the same place now. haha. Weird. I miss you guys. Please come to Logan and play with me! :)
BEAUTIFUL wedding kristin! You looked AMAZING and your dress is perfect! You guys are an adorable couple! sorry about the cake :[ remember one thing always has to go a little bit wrong on your wedding day haha. good luck on your new journey together!
Good job, Kristin!
Claire looks beautiful. I miss them.
hey whats your email so i can add you to my blog??
Your wedding looks wonderful Kristin!!
Congratulations! And your dress looks absolutely incredible (what I can see of it). Seriously, so beautiful. Congrats again!
Practice makes perfect. Good luck with your goal! Your photos look awesome and keep getting more creatively composed with each post. :) You're awesome Kristin Brown :)
Love the changes!
oooo! I love your heading picture and font. Very very cute
Lookin' good! :)
It was an absolutely beautiful day! You should post your bridals on here! The ones that I saw were crazy beautiful…that is to say, you are crazy beautiful! :) Thank you for sharing your beautiful day with me. You and Kenny are such a beautiful couple. Honestly, your children are going to have the most beautiful eyes!
P.S. I need to think of more synonyms for "beautiful" apparently :)
Diggin the new look, yo.
That looks so fun!! I can't believe your room in Las Vegas.
Wow, that looks like a great honeymoon so far! How fun! :)
Holy Moly!!! Your hotel room was amazing in Vegas. How fun!
Sweet! Your smoking room was awesome! We ended up in a smoking room on our honeymoon but it was at Motel 6…not nearly as cool. It looks like you guys had a fun time. I bet it was fun to be just the two of you!
Hi… just happen to cross your site… I see that you also love Disney… me too…
Im planning to go to Tokyo or Hong Kong Disney this Christmas. Hoho and I found some stuffs from Hong Kong Disneyland here as well:
disneycloth.cwahi.net
I will definitely take tones of photos there!!!
Man who designed your car..er.. decorations? Looks great ;) … I cant believe your luck on the hotel room though thats awesome! I'm just gonna book one for fun one time and see what happens.
Oh, you two look like you had so much fun! And that line from Peter Pan = LOL. I haven't seen that movie since I was maybe four years old, but that sounds very much like Kenny. What a great adventure you guys are having! :)
I'm sorry. :( You can come play with me!! :) I would like that.
I'm so sorry! I hope you will be okay. Call me if you want to do something. I'm always up for it.
The fireworks job? I'm sorry. :(
Wow. These are so great. The one you said you absolutely love is absolutely my fav.
These blow my mind. So, so great.
oh my heck I love them all, but especially the first one.
hooray! happy 4th :)
beautiful. you are beautiful. and you two are beautiful. I'm excited to see you next weekend. If you come up to Logan again you should let me know, it'd be fun to see you.
I love this. :) I love you and Mr. Kenny as a unit. You guys are great together!
Thanks for being an example to me of what love can be.
That is beautiful Kristin. Thank you for the part where you talked about the stupid little voice that said your hopes were too high and that your expectations for what love should be were unrealistic. I've often thought that same thing, it's good to know that God in His perfect love will allow us our deepest desires, even if they're different than we expected, they are far better. Beautiful! Keep going strong! :)
BTW, I hear that you're considering NOT coming to Whitney's barbeque and I WILL NOT allow that. You have to come, hubby or no hubby! We need you there cause we heart your face…a LOT!
You are so cute! I love you guys.
YAY! you are in logan!!! you should come to game night. or we should hang out some other night.
Hey your first apartment can't be perfect right! I'm sure it has lots of personality. I have wireless that you can use when you come over tomorrow if you want! See you then.
Cute! I love these. What lens were you using?
How sweet of your cute mom. She is a pro, I'm so impressed! You should've had her make your wedding cake ;) jk. See you tonight! :D
That's so awesome! Your mom should totally be a cake decorator. This looks just like your wedding cake!
Cute! I love the last one
You are very welcome — I love you, too.
I love them all! But I think you should take off the one of me looking like a dork…
She's so talented. I think it looks better than your wedding cake.
yea! Yea! YEA! That's so exciting. And as for the Bachelorette, you shouldn't feel bad because I have watched EVERY episode this season. It's my guilty pleasure too. I'm so happy your Kenny is coming home. I hope your morning and early afternoon go quickly tomorrow.
Hello. Just came across your blog.I think its really different and unique. I like it a lot. Feel free to come check out mine if you like.
You are a beautiful writer, friend. I like you a lot. Can't wait for you to transplant your little selfs to Logan soon! Yay!
I love that quote, what a great thought. Thanks for sharing! Everything will be ok Kristin! You are awesome. Love you!
Kyle told me….
Um… YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Will you hang out with me when you come to Logan even though I am unmarried and not cool? I have missed you being here.
What? You're here? Come visit us please.
Woo hoo! So are you in Logan for good now?
Can I come to watch SYTYCD at your house in the fall? I still don't have tv. :(
yeah! I'm glad things are settling down. You should post pictures of your cute place when you get all unpacked and stuff
Welcome back!
That show is very important, for sure!
Yay! Glad to have you back.
Cute!! Can't wait to see the rest
YAY! That was a lovely update! Did I mention that I love you cute little people so much? Cause I do! :) Looks like you're enjoying married life as you should. Smiles!
Oh I want to come see your apartment so bad. It looks totally adorable from what I can see. It looks like you're having a blast.
Your apartment looks so cute. I love the yellow in it! Looks like you guys have had some fun so far. Yeah!
So pretty, Kristin! Good job!
Lookin' good! Way to go Kristin!
I'm so happy you're happy. It makes me want to cry a little bit.
Cute! :) I like you guys!
That third picture is awesome, love the character!
Just as I will depart from your blog more smiley than I was 3 minutes earlier! :)
These are so cute! And good job with the edits. Where did you take them?
Smoot Park? Love love love these Kristin, mostly because I love love love Whitney and Kollin. Your photography and editing is icing on the cake. Nice work. I love the color in the first one and the one of Whitney sitting by Kollin's legs a lot! Beautiful contrast, depth of field and lighting! :)
How cute! I just love those two. I love the one where Whitney is sitting down and you can only see Kollin's legs. It's beautiful. Good job!
Ummm. . . It would be more believable with photos :)
Ha ha. I love this. I especially like rule number one.
You are very brave for playing. Did you list number 9 because Kenny was not actually on your team. I could see some hard feeling arising between Tyler and I if that were the case (given of course that I'm one day brave enough to play).
Haha, Kristin that is hilarious! Thanks for the tips. If I ever have the desire to play paintball I'll remember this list :)
Numbers 12 and 13 are my favorite. :)
I to love that boy
great pictures! What kind of camera do you have?
Your photography looks great Kristin, I'm glad you're enjoying it :)
Maybe that's my excuse for pushing snooze so many times. Tyler doesn't understand. I should have him read this and explain to him that "It's because I love you!"
Haha. This is cute. I love it.
Thanks sweetie. You did a great job!
Oh my heck, I love them. I'm so glad she was awake for you. Good job. And the ones of Corey are really good too!
I love this! It's so true.
oh my goodness! i love love love them so much! they are awesome!!!!
Great job! They are so pretty! You should teach me skills. :)
My stake is having a music workshop on Saturday morning at 10:00 and one of the classes is an organ basics class. Want to come with me?
I'm sorry I didn't know you play the piano! But in all fairness it made sense the second you told me. You are pretty much good at anything beautiful or artistic (picture taking, dancing, etc. etc. etc.) I should have just known.
Also, we need to reschedule photoshop night.
Awesome callings! You guys are pretty amazing.
I LOVE THEM!!!!!!
I must say I sucked in a little breath at that one too! Kristin you did a great job, and Sarah!! You are so, so pretty! :)
Seriously, that may be one of the cutest new baby shoots I've ever seen! What a doll! And you really managed to catch so much personality in those pictures. Love it!
Precious pictures — good work sweetie.
Very cute!
You do the best serious face. You're very pretty!!!
These are so gorgeous! I love you guys. That was the happiest day (aside from my wedding day, sorry). Yeah!
I'm sorry you're sick. That's no fun.
I ran into Kenny today, and he mentioned your being under the weather a bit. I feel your pain. I've missed the last 3 days of school. I hope you are feeling better!
YEah, what kind of camera do you have? Saw your pictures I loved them!!!! What your email so I can email you? I tried on CONTACT ME but it doesn't open on my computer. Thanks!!!!My email is juliafisio@gmail.com
I'm so glad you're healed from the swine! The swine is affecting all of my friends!!! And Oh my goodness is right!!! I can't believe Kenny got hit by a car. I'm so glad he is okay. That reminds me of the time Adam R. hit a runner on his way to school one morning to VHS. Haha.
Oh my goodness! I can't believe he got hit by a car. I'm so glad he's okay. That's alarming. You would be justifed in hitting the old ladies if they hurt him I think. I'm glad you're feeling better.
I'm glad you are feeling better. I've been worried about my baby.
Love you!
Are you serious? He got hit by a car?!! That is so scary, and yet another reason why I'm convinced running will kill you.
First of all, tell Kenny he should stop running at midnight and/or he should start wearing reflective clothing so situations like these can be avoided.
Also. I meant to call you like sixteen times in the last few days to see if you were okay. I'm glad you're feeling better. Sorry I've been a crappy sister this week.
Yeah, I hear ya on the swine flu thing. Did they put you on Tamiflu? After two weeks I'm finally starting to feel better thanks to that stuff. Hooray! As much fun as it's been laying in bed 24/7 for two weeks, I hate being lazy. I'm glad you're feeling better and glad that Kenny was never hurt in the first place. Seriously, sometimes we just need to take away old peoples' licenses…no good!
I'm glad you're better Kristin! Swine flu is stinky. We just found out that Tyler's sister, brother-in-law, and nephew all have it. I'm glad you're done with it though. And yes, tell Kenny to watch out for those old ladies! I bet they're out to get him!
I am glad you are better as well! And I can't believe Kenny got hit by a car! I'm so glad he is alright.
P.S. I miss you!
Oh my gosh! He got hit by a car?! I'm glad he wasn't hurt! It's not really a fun experience. And you are totally justified in hitting them back:) And I'm glad you're better from the flu!
I love dressing up as creepy things! :)
Good job! I love them all.
You've Got Mail is my all-time favorite. It never gets old!
Ahhh I love it. :) Thank you.
What a beautiful little family! :) I love that 6th photo of Jack…and all of them of course. Nice work Kristin!
So cute. Love that last one! Negative space is my favorite!
I love them! Thanks again. I will have to come over and see the rest sometime soon.
Wow. You guys look awesome!
i adore the close ups of those cute kids!! beautiful work!
Whoa! Weddings are stressful I am sorry! But you are married to a great guy so it was all worth it. Good to know about your photographer though,…and your wedding planner. ;) Do you think she would be up for mine? jk
That was fun to imagine taking pictures of love. You did a good job!
Yeah your photographer bugged. But your pictures are AMAZING and I guess that's all that matters now. I thought about getting in a fight with her when she was commenting about how late you were. Boo. Everything about your wedding was wonderful though. Very memorable!!
Even with uncooperative weather, a not-so-nice-though-super-talented photographer, and a super sad cake issue, I honestly think that your wedding looks like one of the most beautiful weddings ever. Seriously. And I enjoyed reading all about your thoughts on the whole process. :)
Love these! Beautiful! I wanna see your bridals too! I love the International Peace Gardens!
I did NOT know that she was being a brat about your lateness. I would have beat her up too.
These are amazing! And you are beautiful! I would totally post pictures of me if I had ones that were that gorgeous.
you are beautiful! i love the one with umbrella.
I have such beautiful friends!!!! Oh my. I loooovvveee these!
HOLY CRAP, you are GORGEOUS! :) These are amazing! I cannot pick a favorite. Way to work the camera, you model!
Kristin! I loved reading that! I wish I could have been here to come to your reception and see you! I love your pictures you look beautiful! And I loved the part about your invites! They did ours too.. and I feel the exact same way! They are awesome! Anyways I love reading your blog! :)

I would totally enter but you already did a session for me and my significant other and child… so this is just so you don't feel like a nerd at the end of the day. :) Just kidding.
Um…we would love a photo shoot! Please consider us (wink wink)…we will be excellent models, or at least Peter will be :)
That is so exciting! I need someone to do my portfolio pictures and I was thinking that someone should be you… should you have time. :) (I of course can pay you for your time… should that be a concern.)
Kristin! I am excited that you got a new camera.. Now, I can look at even more of your awesome pictures! I think that you do a FABULOUS job and I love looking at all your pictures!! :) oh and I would love to enter for your drawing too! :)
Oh my!!!!! I'm soooo jealous! This is amazing Kristin! You're going to have so much fun.
And you know… probably someone else deserves the session, but I would LOVE you to take my picture. ;)
I like you. You already did some fabulous pictures of us so I'm sure that there are others who need to experience your talent more but I'm sure my mom would like our pictures done.
oooh fun! pick me!
and also… LUCKY. i NEED that camera.
I think you do wonderful work!! I would LOVE to have you take a new family picture for us!!
Oh lucky me! I'm happy that you have your new camera for my wedding! :)
What a fun new toy for you! How exciting! We're big fans of your work, and Ivy could totally use some great quality 18 month shots, so please enter us in your drawing! :)

And I'd love for you to pick me:)
YAY! Congrats on the beautiful new camera and your awesome business taking off. It's fun watching you cultivate your passion. I've referred some people to you for engagements as well, hope that's ok. I just don't have as much drive and patience as you do to do photography as a "permanent" business. More power to you, you're awesome!
Congrats! That is so exciting! Your camera looks amazing. I don't know if you even remember me but on a whim I clicked on your blog from a link on another blog and fell in love with your photography and constantly look at your photo blog. You truly have a gift-it isn't just the camera :) Good luck in all you do!
~Alli
Yay! I am excited! I will email you later on today about what day you can do it and more details! yay! I am so excited!!
eeek im excited!!!! i never win anything!
Where Jack is getting tossed in the air… I like the second one more because you can see the smile on Daddy's face too. ;-)
I love that third photo! Beautiful detail! I want a baby…awwww
Haha what a clever you! I love the post. Oh, and by the way, we DO want pictures… I AM going to email you soon…
oh man. this was sooooo funny. I laughed a lot!!!!!!!!!! Hahaha.
I love them,
Hahahahaha! Love this! You guys are hilarious!
Hahahahaha! Oh Blokus. How much I
don't miss you!
One more for Kenny "No officer, I haven't had any traffic tickets lately" :)
HA HA! do you know why that is even funnier? because he got another one yesterday for his windshield not being completely defrosted. :)
HAHAHA. I missed this one apparently. I laughed out loud. Thank you for that. Will you make a list for me?
A whole chicken???
P.S. Read my comment on your last post.
Pictures are beautiful and baby so cute ! I love babies pictures !
cute post kristin! i loved seeing you yesterday. hopefully, we will see each other again soon :)
Don't listen to Krista! She's been abducted by Were-pires! If you meet with her again she will infect you.
Hey! What's wrong with Thanksgiving posts? Dang it :( jk haha
i had this same problem. i found when i saved them in photoshop as sRGB and then uploaded them to flickr they remained more true to the color. when i didn't export them from flickr (just through blogger) and EVEN THOUGH they were saved a sRGB they looked different. so i've decided it's blogger… so now i upload through flickr. :)
dang it that's what i did with the ones in this post, and they look the same to me. do they look different to you?
Thanks for the photo shoot and the sneak peek! We can't wait to see the rest!
They are very close to the same however number one looks better. Number two seems to have a very slight gray tone to it that makes it a little less clear.
BTW aren't those blue eyes fantastic!
Great Pic
Hey, that's what time I go to bed too. :)
I think we are food-mates. I am a vegetarian but I don't like most vegetables. Its a predicament. And I hate most dairy stuff. So I have vegan margarine, soymilk and vegan cheese. It is delish when you get the right brands!
Oh, and I always make things that I *think* will taste good and are healthy, but then I never like them. : (
When I feel too unhealthy, I will have a Vega shake to make up for my horrible diet (Brendan Frasier I think if you want to look it up)
Ummm… they look the same to me. But good picture. :)
Ohhh cute. He's my favorite little boy too.
Maybe you should ask Santa for a new straightner :)
i bought a straightener from salley's called GVP. pretty much the exact same thing as a chi and i LOVE it. it works really well and was about $60. you could try that!
so sad we won't see you tomorrow. i really miss you guys. :(
Love these pictures! This family is friends of ours, and it feels like your really captured their personality. :) And I heard that it was FREEZING that day, and you still got great pictures. So fun!
I have the same straightener as Jalene. It's great. My chi broke really recently after I hadn't had it very long and I like my GVP a lot better.
We have a spare Christmas tree at my apt if you want it..only drawback is its kind of fake.
Kristin you are da BOMB!! I just got done photoshoping and thinking how great I am and then I check out your website and remember why I come to you for photo help and advice!
wahoo! i made the blog header! i'm, like, famous! haha
So… what am I supposed to call your new blog? "Kristin" or "Kristin Brown Photography?" I can't decide.
Love it!
I love your header!! I love you too.
Hey kristen!! I just thought that I would let you know that its blogger!!! They change everything!!!!!! So very annoying.
Yeah for finding my blog so I could find yours too! I love your logo! (I am in the process of having mine re-designed too) I loved exploring and checking out your pictures. Beautiful work and I love several of your locations.
so cute. love your story.
Ahem. . . we used to have real trees all the time when you were little. But I was afraid they would go up in flames so I let dad talk me into the fake kind. Just defending myself . . .
Oh, it's beautiful. This reminds me of Charlie Brown's Christmas :)
Oh!!! It's soooo cute. I love it. And such wonderful pictures!
ok the one with blurs and the tail was mind blowing…completely captures wat i feel is the rush that a little kid might get standing at the end of a runway..
rest were quite awesome as well..esp the one from behind the taxiing plane..
i dabble in photography as well…tho i dont photoshop quite as much as u probably do…
would love some comments on a few of my photos

I love it. It's so cute!!
ah i LOVE it!
im so excited to see the rest!
ps your tree is adorable.
Beautiful!
i've always loved that quote!
Oh those are so, so sweet! You take lovely pictures! They remind me of the feeling I get when there's sunshiny air and a guilty pleasure love song playing. :)
Oh!!! they are sooooo wonderful!! I really really love them. What a cuuuuutte couple! Should I add some more exclamation points?? !!!!!!
I'm so jealous of your new camera.
So yes, I'm think you should do a shoot of me and linky. Yes, yes. :)
Thinking….
(it's late)
WOW Kristin! I'm blown away by these. Your eye for creative shots is amazing and I love how you can see their personalities so strong in each picture. You're pro!
this better not be about accepting MY weaknesses, because i have NO weaknesses.
Oh dear. Mini-versions of Kenny's card game ardour? I mean, I like card games, but I don't consider them to make or break my life or sanity. :) And I want to see The Princess and the Frog!! I've waited for that movie for years–traditional animation makes me happy. :)
I agree with Kenny. You should have one :)
Kristin these are amazing!! I love them! Especially the one with the book, so cute. They really are incredible!
love that red effect!
haha. i loved that you called kenny a human calculator. that's funny.
I love these, Kristin! Beautiful! :)
I think New Year's resolutions should really start on the first Monday of the New Year . . . don't you??
These are so beautiful. I can't believe how cute he is.
That is one handsome witto baby! I want one…oh wait, that's step #2 ;) Great job, Kristin, these are beautiful!
Well, if the day should come that I have a newborn, you'll be the first I'll call to take pics. You do a beautiful job!
With all due respect (and someone who wants to make a self-photography series one day) i think you shud actually consider more of ur own pics…
just a thot i guess…
as always..love ur work
cheers!
I like this picture a lot!
Kristin! You are amazing!
Seriously. These are beautiful!
Beautiful. I don't know if you read Davina Fear's blog, but I thought you'd enjoy reading this post: http://davina.squarespace.com/journal/2010/1/7/women-and-business-jasmine-star.html
Oh, and this: http://junebugweddings.com/fashion-report/2009-best-wedding-fashion-photography.aspx
I LOVE that last one. So pretty
Hi Kristin,
Thanks for visiting:
http://getoffyourbuttandbake.blospot.com
We also love that dessert!
My daughter Danielle, lived in Logan for a few years, but has now moved to Virginia, but my sister jamie lives in Logan! I have two daughters who are photographers! You pic's are beautiful.
Funny thing, my hubbies name is Kenny!
Thanks again,
Jonna
That is beautiful! Your lens KILLS me! BAH! :)
So pretty! She has such gorgeous blue eyes.
She's so pretty! Her parents must be really good looking :)
OH MY HECK I love them all. And thanks a lot… now I'm crying. :)
You must be really good to be able to focus in on the perfect outline of my contacts…
Really, though, I like it. But mostly I liked hanging out with you. Good job. :)
So beautiful… I love the photo of Chris in them. PERFECT!
Beautiful job, sweetheart. I'm crying, too.
These are so pretty. You did such a great job capturing the love between them all. Beautiful.
wow. this made me choke up. what a beautiful family.
i'll never forget when you told us about what happened as we ate our sandwiches at blimpe. love you.
and great photos!
haha that rocks! I didn't even recognize kenny at first with his black hair.
Also I am always blown away by your picture taking skills Kristin!
I was like, "What?!! Kenny dyed his hair??"
Haha, so funny.
And SOOOO jealous you got free lower bowl jazz tickets. Lucky Ducks.
Hilarious, hilarious! Almost didn't recognize Kenny with the dark hair!
haha. That's so cute!!! Lucky on the Jazz tickets. Glad you had such a good weekend.
hello kristin.. thank you for the shout out. am delighted to meet you and browse your photos. the bishopric band has me smiling.
i've been wanting to take pictures of the trees up here. it's so beautiful! but i agree… i'm so done with winter already. i think i turn into a grinch at this time of year. nothing but cold inversion air for months!!! ugh! i'm hoping spring comes real soon.
I'm a beast in the winter. A depressed, melancholy beast. Maybe I need one of those lamps that sends out happy rays?
The last pic was quite breathtaking..with regards to the 2nd one, was that actually clicked in the landscape format? i just feel it would look better vertical..
as always..love ur work!
At least you've seen him for two hours! I think I've seen Dustin for about fifteen minutes (maybe) today. :( Anyway. Talk to you soon…
these are great!!! good job. i really wish i could have taken that class with you. i'm way bummed. :(
I have a cat you can have. He's not little, but he'd follow you around and meow and sleep on your head. I'll even pay you to take him and I'll buy his food and I'll buy Kenny an ant farm. Good deal, huh?
Why doesn't it even surprise me that he wants an ANT farm? Of all the icky, absurd, crawly things to want… I hope you get your wish! I love me a good, cuddly kitty!
oh man. this was the best blog post i read all day. hilarious. i love you guys!!
kristin: cat whisperer. haha
kenny: you are the only person i've ever heard of wanting an ant farm.
haha that post was funny. Why do men always want such weird things or weird animals? James asked me if we could get a trianchula… um NEGITIVE!!
what if that got out? I definitly wouldn't want that walking around my house! Who wants a pet spider anyways? eeeek.
HAHAHA. I like Mom's comment.
Haha! That is hilarious! :)
iMac: that would be pretty sweet
taxes: you can file Married Filing Jointly if no one claims you or Kenny as a dependent
money: you should use mint.com for budgeting. I just set my account up a few weeks ago and i really like it. it's just so fun!
book thieves: that's now on my list of books to read
time-traveling story: i LOVED that movie for two reasons. 1) I loved the story and it made me cry 2) I loved the house they lived in and want to live in one just like it someday. Also, that book is now on my list to read
good husband: I'm so glad you found Kenny. He's sure perfect for you.
I think these are the best yet!
Good work.
I love your new profile picture!
I think you need a visit from your mommy. . .
i think i have this too. i just hate winter and it makes me grumpy 24/7. booooooooo winter!!!!
I like'a your boots! :) Yer cute!
Gorgeous! I love them all!
I like #3 the best. They're all beautiful though. :)
awww, thanks kristin. you said such nice things about me. i got all hot and blushy. haha. you're the sweetest. i'm so excited for our swap next week! wahoo! love you, kristin.
Very beautiful pictures!
Aw, that's like my dream! Ice skating with my lover as the snow falls. Live it up :) How cute!
How cute!
I went skating there the first week of this semester! It sure is charming. :)
Hooray I found your Blog! I was so excited to see your stuff! Oh what fun!
Fun to take Brooke's class with you – love your pictures! Super great newborn stuff! That's a gift!
Hope all is well
Sarah Allred
If you always wear dark socks, you can go for a long time in mopping denial :) just sayin'
Mm Goldfish. I can easily do the same thing. They're so good! And addicting.
I wish I could help, but technology and I are not friends. :)
Haha, that's very interesting. I've never practiced Lent before, but it's not a bad idea. Good luck to you both. You're funny :)
For the record, I think your original opinion of change is the correct one.
oh no!! what a pain! i wish i knew the answer. but i have to figure this out myself.
but yay for iMacs!!
I love your photography!
I agree with both of you! Change is pointless if you're going to go back to the way it was before. But maybe a 40 day trial is a good way to start it off and see if it is something you'd be willing to change permanently.
Every time I scrolled down I would think "that's my favorite…" Seriously. I love them all. Good job.
(girlish squeeeal) He is adorable! Beautiful compositions, Kristin. I love the lighting!
Wow! Beautiful work!
look at those big eyes!! those are my favorite. with his eyes open!
wow– can i just say that you are amazing.
and maybe those pictures made me a little baby hungry… maybe…
Kristin! These pictures are fabulous. I was stalking your blog and you have a great eye for newborns! You should post some tips on things you do at newborns shoots! I'd love to know your tricks. :)
yay for iMacs!!!! don't you just love that mouse? it's the coolest thing ever!
I'm interested to know how editing photos on a Mac is different from editing photos on a PC. Isn't Photoshop pretty much the same on both platforms? I've never had much difficulty transitioning between the two. Everything I can do on a PC I've been able to do on a Mac, and vice-versa. Macs definitely have the upper hand on the PC when it comes to style though.
a) I think those flowers are Oriental Lilies (if I'm not mistaken), cause those are my favorite.
b) I heart "Cake Pops", too. I made them with Funfetti cake at Christmas. They're delectable!
c) This post makes me hungry for sugar.
d) That quote is beautiful. I wanna read that book!
e) Your iMac! (hallelujah chorus) I use one of those at work everyday (actually I'm on one right now) and they're are lovely!
Thanks for sharing the lovelies. Love you!
robby, i actually don't know what differences there are between using photoshop on a pc or mac. i've never used ps on a pc. :) i meant that it is such a change from editing on my previous macbook. the bigger screen, the faster system, etc. is all wonderful.
but i will say that macs are just funner and prettier and faster and better than any pc i have ever come in contact with… :)
Oh, my goodness! These look so yummy that my stomach is growling at me to make some of my own! Seriously, so cute (and if they're tasty too then there's just a double whammy for you!)
Hm, it's interesting to see the way you made them. Mine were a little bit of a different technique. Like, without sticks and not frozen. More like little chocolate covered cake bites. Super cute, Kristin! :)
That's a long list of candidates! You have my vote. :)
I voted for you twice (home and school computers)- I love your photography!
Sorry I didn't realize your morning had been bad when I saw you at work. And sorry I never asked about your BUSINESS TRIP. I meant to…
I'm glad you're doing better though. Come visit us soon.
oh my, oh my. this spot is darling. pink frosted cookies, pretty pictures, even cake pops! (i agree, baking is completely different than cooking, and absolutely my favorite between the two.) i'm so happy to have found you. (or, rather, thank you for finding me! and for leaving me a li'l note today!)
your photography is exquisite, kristin. really and truly, just lovely! and may i say, i am dying over your hair in the 'hello' photo. ohh. i wish i knew how to master the loose curl look.
ps. am so happy to help out with the granola bar question- which had also been plaguing me before my mother in law came to the rescue! i do hope you'll let me know if you try them.. they really are outrageous!
They look magical!!
I am VERY impressed! Good job.
What fun pictures! I'm so impressed. Looks like a super happy day for everyone. :)
great job!! considering the lighting circumstances, i think they look really good!
I love Bakerella! I suddenly got addicted to reading foodie blogs over Christmas break. Looks like your shower was a hit!
Ha, I WISH the surprise had put me into labor! :) It was the perfect party. I didn't know you made up the rattles on your own… now I'm even more impressed. Thanks again for everything. :)
Cutest shower I've ever seen! :)
Hey Kristen! I just wanted to tell you that I love your blog, and I really like these pictures of the baby shower! They are so warm and I just get a "feel good" feeling when I look at them! Great job!
-Monica
You're so cute :-) I have been reading through your other blog and I like it. A lot :-) And, I also noticed that I am getting married on your one year anniversary! Nice wedding date :-)
Kenny has excellent taste – in wives and jewelry :)
Soooo, my feet turned green again today. The kids were really worried about what my family was going to say. One little girl told me I should go home and drink lots of water and eat fruits and vegetable and see how I felt in the morning ;)
I have a fetish with hand-sewing plush toys, too! I should post some of my favorites. Good times! Way to be domestic! :)
As a child I was told that anything you sew on Sunday you will have to unpick with your nose when you get to heaven — I never could figure out how THAT was going to happen, but it could explain my unreasonable fear of sewing. Just sayin' . . .
oh it's soooo cute! great job. you are SO domestic! teach me!
Hope you at least found the wedding ring! :S
So cute!
Love 'em! So cute. I think it's funny how much you post about baking on your photography blog ;) At least you take pictures of your baking right? Haha, love you
Will do!
All the best!
Oh! Bikes are my absolute favorite thing in the whole entire world! I'm so happy that you have one and that it is making you happy! Hooray for biking! And for cute bikes! And for awesome parents who give very cool gifts!
You make "popping out a baby any day now" sound so easy…
Cute bike. :)
Hey Kristin-
LOVE the bike! I think a basket would be the perfect touch. I'll let you know if I come across a great one. I love your cute toes too! Pedicures are the best and I'm due for one.
Thanks for your comments and I can't wait to check out your new website!
P.S. I just changed my "photo" blog's address. It's imagesbysandy.blogspot.com
Love the bike! This website gives an awesome tutorial that will help you make a basket! I love that the bike they show almost matches yours :)
http://alemonsqueezyhome.blogspot.com/2010/03/vintage-bike-basket-tutorial.html
hope you have a wonderful day!
Alli
Umm — two things. . .
1)it does not appear to me that you are adequately watching where you are going
2)Your head appears alarmingly unprotected
Just saying. . .
You two are so cute together ;-)
I have been following your blog for a while. I'm one of your blog stalkers :-)
I ? Norah!
Those are my favorite Girl Scout cookies too :-) My fiance surprised me with a box of each the other day. It was a good day!!
What a cute post. And Cadburys are my favorite too! Very cute blog, BTW.
Awwww… My roommate is so gorgeous! You did a great job, Kristin. My favorite is still the third from the bottom. Every time I see it, it's still beautiful!
You reminded me of something funny: I think when we were planning the first FHE last year, Kenny was like, "Who should we assign the spiritual thought?" I said, "I think Kristin would be great!" And Kenny said, "Kristin who?" to which I replied, "Oh you'll like her! She's great!" Little did I know. Hahaha! :D
She's so cute!!
She is completely perfect! Love the picture of her and Katie. What a beautiful family. :)
She is adorable!! They have such a cute family!
Those are super cute!! I love the second one down, very sweet!
YAY! Congrats. Adorable!
BAH! Kristin these are beautiful! Jalene you are beautiful! Love. Love.
awww! thanks, kristin. i can't even imagine what it would be like to put on tights and a leotard now. ugh!! i'm so glad we met and continued friend-shipping. thanks for taking my picture. and i love you!
Kristin! These are so pretty! Jalene! You're gorgeous! And I love how nice and simple clean you have edited them :) truly lovely. And timeless.
Very impressive Kristin! Really, I love them!!
So pretty! I love these!
Hey Kristin. I've been feeling the same way a lot lately. I need to prioritize a little better. I need to go to bed and really go to bed, not make lists in my head. GOod luck with your refocus session! I'm with you on cereal for dinner…I need to make some changes and actually start cooking!
Love these photos…
Don't you love that! I hope you also did the new American Opportunity Credit for Kenny. You can get up to $2500 back for expense spent on school. Pretty saweet!
WHAT?? is that different than the regular fafsa thing?? how do i not know these things?
Ohh man, he's so cute. :)
Beautiful. I love that first one! Look at those eyes.
I love this! What a handsome little boy. The qualities of your photos is amazing. Beautiful, beautiful!
i love that photo from your film class. it's soooo beautiful. i also love the one where jack is kissing chloe. so cute!
I came to say the exact same thing as Jalene.. haha. But really that one of Jack kissing her is so stinking cute! You take amazing photos Kristin.
Thanks Kristin! We will be ammending our taxes!
thanks for the insight!! i'll have to go get myself a library card and check these books out.
If you love a book and are having a hard time returning it just write the title down! Then when you have the money you can go get it for yourself. The library is also great because you can read a book before buying it–then you don't end up with any that you don't really care for!
hey that's funny that you posted this, cuz I JUST got a library card last week! I feel same way, that's it's amazing that you can get all these books to read for free. I tried to express my excitement to my co-workers but they just looked at my like I was a freak.
Lovely pics. Every one.
I'm so glad you discovered the joys of the public library system! I do think that libraries are some of my favorite places in the world, and Cache Valley seems blessed with some particularly nice ones. :)
that's really ironic, because i TOTALLY have thought about doing a photo shoot on campus.
i think about it every day when i am talking to class.
i love this! so beautiful.
i love the crispness (if that's a word) of the photos!
Love these! Love my roomie! Awww…!
I wish I would have found your blog six months ago! You are so cute :-) I am getting married in Hawaii in a month and a half! We get our engagements done Friday and we have had it booked for about six months now. These are super cute!!
Glad to hear it. I miss you.
congrats on the new calling! RS TEaching, in my opinion would be the absolute most perfect calling ever :) Somehow I just haven't gotten to have it ever :( I'm sure you'll be a great teacher! Wahoo for a fun weekend!
These are fabulous Kristin! I love them! And I love USU :) Haven't been back there in forever and these pics make me want to take the opportunity! Keep up the fabulous wrok!
I was wondering whose hammock that was!
I want MORE! :) I love them– and I am patiently waiting, I promise!
Love the first one… can't wait for you to do the next baby! And to see the pictures from last week!
Perfectly beautiful!
Very well done! She is perfect!
That one's my favorite favorite favorite too! :) Thanks again.. you are so talented.
She is beautiful, Katie & Dustin! Good job, Kristin!
Kristin, your pictures are so awesome and your niece is adorable!!
P.S. It's not stalking if I leave a comment…right?
Oh cool! :) I love that first one.
Love the daffodil!
so pretty!!! now it's covered in snow :(
oh, you look beyond adorable, i love the color + fabric you chose.
HEY I was going to tell you when I saw you wearing that skirt that it was cute. Good job. :) And curtains… I made ours out of sheets and it was super easy. I can show you how if you want. Sheets are way cheaper than buying yards of fabric.
It looks so cute! Way to go! I just finished sewing a dress!
Yeah, I was just about to say "whoa, your hair is long!" :)
Oh! They're so great! I love them. And I love how you photographed them. :)
so fun! love the blanket shots!
WE LOVE THEM! Thank you so much… now I just have to decide which ones to display/give away, which is a very DAUNTING task since they all turned out so cute! Thanks, our personal photographer!!!
Very pretty! I love the first one!!
Oh wow! You are so talented. And I love the first one too!
And my, what a cute basket it is!
I love the angle on that tulip photo. Beautiful! :)
Gorgeous! Gorgeous! My favorite is the tree one.
I think the basket would like some cute ribbon woven through it. . . just sayin' :-)
honestly, I have wanted to have the same project for a long time :) I think its brilliant, and you actually probably won't miss all that much from the blogs :) I'd probably get a whole lot more accomplished in my life if I did that!
i love the pic of the tulips! they are my favorite!
–this is lindsey neumeyer, btw ;)
great post kristin!! i think all of this is so true and i am going to go clean out my closet now ;)
how exciting! congrats!
everything will work great! i'm so excited for you!!!!
Kristin! I think it looks amazing. So professional. You're quite the business woman! Can't wait to see you soon.
I LOVE it!
Your website turned out beautiful! I wish I was as fast as you are. I am still trying to decide what I want to do. Your blog, website and bridals are turned out great! :-)
Hey Kristin-
I'm still here! I feel the same way about comments sometimes. Just a quick "hi" is nice so you know people area at least checking up on you. I'm sorry you are having some difficulities. If I knew the answers to any of these questions I would surely help you out. I LOVE the new website too. SO FANTASTIC!
Mayebe we'll see you tomorrow at Dr. A's :)
I'm still reading :) Sorry about your difficulties. Let me know if you figure out the itunes thing because I am having a similar issue.
We're here! And I'll put a noye on my blog so my friends can still spy on you too.
Sorry… that word was actually supposed to be noTe.
And I was going to tell you thanks again for today… you probably didn't think it was as fun as I thought it was, but I am glad you were there and not JUST for your help… for the company too. :)
I'm still reading! I am not good with technology… so I can't really help!! But your iTunes problem kind of sounds like one of the issues with the Amazon Kindle… If you download a book, then upgrade your device to a newer one, some of the books don't come with it evne though you already paid for them. Some books get a new format for the upgraded version and it won't let you just have your books back, you have to pay again. LAME!! I hope it's not the same issue, but it kind of sounds similiar.
Aw. YAY! I'm so glad that you found someone who treats you so well aka exactly the way you deserve to be treated. It makes me happy to see so many of my sweet friends so happily matched :) Love you guys lots! Can't wait to see your face at the shower and upcoming wedding! WAHOO! Love love!
I love that first one! Breathtaking!
These are gorgeous! I love her dress!
What a sweet post! It certainly sounds like you've got yourself a great man there. :)
STUNNING! You did such a beautiful job!
YAY! How exciting! Congrats to Corey!
What new lens did you get?! So exciting!
I'm all yours :)
Very cool and artsy — love it.
Too bad AAA doesn't cover bike lock-outs. . .
Ohhh my gosh! I am so excited to see them all!! Yay!
I love this post! I'm smiling at the computer as if you can see it! I would SOOOO lock myself out of my bike if given the chance? I'm glad I'm not the only one who puts myself in predicaments leaving myself to look like an idiot!
And huge congrats ;) on choosing to be certified! I'm overly excited to sign my name the same way, of course – I'll use my own first letters!
Know what? You're pretty cute.
love those shoes too!! where did you get them??? and i need to read that book–it looks good!
the shoes are from payless, believe it or not! :)
Hey, you forgot about your niece's blessing! :) Just to add to the ctaziness of your weekend…
ctaziness… craziness… busy-ness… same diff.
i know sorry…. i can only think up until saturday for now!
Yay, sounds like so amazing things to celebrate!
Hey I know you prob don't know me but does sara and Trey have a blog? I went to highschool with her and would love to keep in touch with her. plz just comment on my blog and let me know. THanks!
I love this post! I think I shall read that book, it sounds awesome. Love that quote. Thanks for sharing your favorite things. These are my favorite posts of yours and the pictures are to die for.
Love these photos, especially the one of Jalene and Lincoln and the reflection in the door. I think I would love to be a photojournalist AND I love your flip-flops. Good purchase :) Love you girlies mucho!
Ohhh fun. You look so pretty.
you really have some great shots here. I bet the happy couple will be so impressed.
Very well done!
wow-kristin you are good! you really have "it" and these look great!
-linds
I love the International Peace Gardens so much. Beautiful lighting! Love 'em
You are the nicest! I love it! Thanks so much for featuring us :) we love the pictures and are struggling with choosing the ones to send out!
Delicious! I love the color and lighting. Well. Love everything!
These are gorgeous, I love the surrounding and their colors go so well good job!
Oh wow, I hadn't even seen these! They're gorgeous, Kristin!
cuuuttee! i just barely saw this…. (just got home yesterday). thanks for being there. love you mucho!
hahaha! that picture is hilarious! that was when we first started dating and didn't even know we would end up as EC's (eternal companions) ;)
Congratulations to you both! :-)
Happy Anniversary! and thanks for stopping by. I thought I was getting over the Great Cake Disaster of 2009 — apparently not :( Oh well, one day we will laugh (whatever. . . ) Love you!
Happy ONE YEAR! Looks like a fun little celebration!
cute cute. your room at the little america looks almost EXACTLY like OUR room that we stayed in. haha. happy anniversary! i can't believe it's already been a year.
and i have to say… your cake lady is LAME! sorry, but it's true.
Ouch, sorry 'bout your finger. You two are adorable though, I must say!
Men are so creative when it comes to fixing things. Glad he was there to say the day!
Hey, I've been to Peoa… :)
UMM. . . tingling is not necessarily normal! When in doubt call your momma!!
Ha ha. So funny.
Cute! YAY! I'm glad Alicia took my recommendation and contacted you! :) Lovely shots!
It always makes everything worth it to beat Kenny. I too have found that I'm slightly better at sports than I used to be. To be fair, junior high and high school children are so rude to those coordinationally-challenged. I would know.
I long ago swore off anything that I wasn't good at, but I've found too that opening myself up to new things is super fun! It's nice to surprise yourself.
I hope you post this on FB!! I lovey our pics and would love to see it!! Photobucket is blocked at work so it doesn't show the pic :-( It sucks cuz it seems everyone is uploading pics this way lately. Can't wait to get internet at home working!!
haha. weird. i just barely read this post. and i just posted about lincoln cutting his finger and our make shift bandaid.
lovely, lovely, lovely! :)
Thanks for your comment! I love your photography!
The blog I was referring to is
http://www.kellehampton.com
What a cute post. You make me want to go camping!
Love the photos! My point and shoot is pretty much a piece of junk that I bought when I was 16, BUT, like yours, its macro rocks the socks off my dslr. Weird!
super fuN! Lovin the blue faces! i agree about macro and P&S cameras!
So what kind of camera is your point and shoot?
it's a canon powershot SD790 IS, digital elph. whatever that means. :)
So sorry. Nothing like a good fall to keep us humble. I'm speaking from experience.
Bruises let you know that you're superhuman, is what I always say.
;-)
On the bright side — at least you weren't being followed by paparazzi :) (yet)
(ps — I just noticed that the word verification I have to type in to post this is "injuri". Coincidence???
oh no!!!!!!!!!! that is so sad. and it looks really painful. i'm sorry you fell down. :(
Cute pic. I was hoping to see how that wounded toe is healing up.
First of all the ones of Corey are amazing… look how handsome. Second of all, I love that one at the end. Can I have a copy? And can you photoshop my kids into it? :) (Just kidding… sort of!)
Fabulous! Thanks,sweetie.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE them all. I am so impressed.
These are beautiful! I especially love the light in the two where she's by the fountain.
You are a good jumper
and
That dog looks dead…cute, but dead.
and
The squishingness of your and Kenny's noses in that second b&w pic of you two makes me smile
and
I like you :)
…yeah, I think he likes you.
Love that kid! (and you too). I especially like the last two.
The last one is especially cute!
so pretty, kristin!!!! great job!
These are lovely! Those dances boggle my mind every time! HOLY talented people. I love us girlies, too!
I feel sad that my head is squished out of those. I especially enjoy the one where you can only see my mouth. That was super crowded and hot.
I like you!

WOW! I have been meaning to do this for SO LONG. It looks pro! :D YAY! Congrats on the accomplishment!
I'm so glad you did that–What a treasure!
Oh, that's so cool. Didn't even know that could be done. I'll have to look into that!
Ahh this is so cool! A huge reason that I love blogging is because of the picture & words combination as well, so I love that you made it into a tangible book! Awesome.
This is such a good idea! Love it!
Great job. I love Senior shoots. Especially GIRLS!
Wow- she is gorgeous and you did an awesome job.

Thanks for the shoutout, Kristin, you are so great.
congrats, kenny! that's so great! and i'm sooooooooooo jealous you don't have to live with orange carpet anymore. linc and i are soooo lucky to have orange AND PINK carpet!
Oh YAY! I'm so happy for you! Man… how long has it been since I've seen you?
Haha, Kristin. I like your secret. AND those graphics are pretty sweet as well. Writing is my medicine.
Love the macro lens. BAH! That photo with the bug shadow…SO COOL
Ah! This sounds like something I would love, and need!
Oh, by the way, I read your blog sometimes. I happened upon it a while ago, friend of a friend of a friend kind of thing while blog-hopping–and I just think your blog is so cute, and you're such a talented photographer.
Anyway, hope this just makes you feel popular, and not creeped out!
WHOOOAAA 24 days?? Next stop, albatross!
P.S. Thank you for introducing me to his website, Kristin, you are so great.
I'm so impressed and this is very timely for me because for some reason writing has been on my mind. I feel like it cleanses my soul. It's just hard to get in the habit. Thanks for the tip. I miss you!
Kristin you did an awesome job with these! Love your style:) Keep it up.
great job! i love the last one too!
your poor wittle toe…
and what the heck is swimmer's itch?
None of my friends would ever want to go swimming with me there because of that dang swimmers itch… hope you didn't get it!
Dump all your unbreakable kitchen stuff in a big box. You can sort them at your new place. Put your appliances in your trunk — too much trouble to pack up in boxes. Only spend time on stuff that could break. Don't forget to breathe and ask for help :)
Logan provides the best sunsets I have ever seen. Pollution is pretty!
So… is it okay if I copy all these pictures and use them on a post for my blog?? I didn't take any pictures except of the moose…
And. I like the ones where I'm torturing Jack. :)
Nicely done!!
you have some serious talent. i love the pictures.
i've been perusing your blog. i love you style. am subscribing. :)
Hahaha, I love that I can see Blokus in the last picture! :-)
I hate moving — on the other hand, look at all the cool things you young 'uns have collected in your short married life :)
oh no! I hate moving! I can't wait to see your new place though.
Dear Corey,
Thanks for letting us know you were in Logan. It was nice to see you. :)
Love, Us
Love them! You really caught Isabelle's personality :)
Love these. Lots. Really lots.
so cute. i love these.
where is this?
Beautiful!!!! Love love love the one of her running and smiling. This makes me want a shoot with my kids each one on one!
This is stunning!
Kristin! This is great post. And all of these photos are beautiful! I'm so glad you're back, and I'm super excited to see you this weekend!
Beautiful photos. Did you meet all of those photographers?! Whoa!
What is WPPI??
wedding and portrait photographers international. another photography conference! :)
bah! i wish i could've come with you. sounded amazing!!!
and i will DEFINITELY come with you to WPPI in February!!!! because i will no longer be in SCHOOOOOLLLLLLL!!!!!
I love your outside/nightime photos. What kind of settings do you use? Ish?
oooh thanks, eileen. most were at f/2.8, 3200 ISO, and between 1/80 to 1/250. times like that i sure love my 5d mark ii.
haha! that is the best series ever! i didn't even know… after all we talked about last night.
that's great! welcome to the world of iPhone, kenny!
Those pictures are AWESOME! Haha, I'm guessing you didn't take them, right? Cause he was probably looking at you when he said, "You did not!!" :) Love it
Picture number five made me snicker! Funniest series I've ever seen. Love the cake pops! Thanks for the warning!
*takes mental note on crappy food markers*
I would LOVE to go to WPPI. My birthday is in February, so I'm hoping to get my fiance to buy me an amazing birthday present.. :)
lindsay- i did take them!! i was proud of myself. i used the widest angle i could and rested the camera on my lap and snapped away without looking. :)
What did you stick the cake pops in?
i stick them in those styrofoam rounds people use for decorating fake wedding cakes, you know? i got them at kitchen kneads in logan. :)
Ah wow! I really thought your apartment before was wonderful, but this is SO GOOD. The ceilings are WONDERFUL.
Yes, please! I love it, Kristin! It's so beautiful and spacious and white! I love white and natural light. BAH! Drooling ;)
I love it!!
Oh MY GOODNESS! I love it! SO completely adorable! Perfect and charming. I'm jealous
1. I liked your avocado fridge.
2. I love your new windows too.
3. You need a new lock on your dungeon door.
4. I really like your new house.
So cute. I love it!
What a charming little house. Thanks for the tour.
VERY cute!! It looks very homey. I love it!!
Wowzers! So cute! You know I love old houses ;) You'll love having those windows and white walls… perfect for indoor shooting! congrats! Have fun!
aren't you clever!? What a delightful surprise! Kenny is much more lucky than my husband :) (who really wants an iphone but won't be getting one! ha ha!)
You went to Skip's Summer School?! What fun! I would love to hear some of the highlights of what you learned! Want to do a brief post on it? Super cool. I have still never ever been to Vegas. Maybe someday I'll make it to WPPI? Who knows… I'm excited that you got to attend though!
LOVE the lighting and fall colors. BAH, I love fall!
This is delicious.
I feel this way about time too and it totally freaks me out. Did you know I have been married for almost THREE YEARS?? I don't know where all that time went. I wish that time was easier to hold on to.
sorry about the kenny-less-ness.
and i totally want to make muddy buddies now!
and i like the portrait. i need something like this to keep my creativity flowing too.
Nice work Kristin!
Lovely family.
Good for you. I totally agree. The only thing that matters is that you love what you are doing and that you feel passionate about it. School can lead to that but there are millions of other ways to discover that passion. I'm glad you've found something that you love so much.
BAH! You're so good :)
Does that mean I might see you this weekend????
I think we must have been blogging at exactly the same time. :)
I love the slideshow. So cute.
I feel so famous! Thanks so much for doing that, that really cheered me up today. You take the best pictures.
Great pictures! Who sings this song??
You have an interesting brain.
Very peaceful. . .
Pretty…
the song is 'bag of hammers' by thao. :)
"I think I have the force!" Ha ha love it!!
I love the quotes. Awesome.
YAY! So cute.
Good job! I really love them all.
Yay! Everything turned out so awesome, we love all the pictures!
ah i absolutely love these and sara is beautiful.
What radio stations do you listen to? Check out "Leaving on a Jet Plane" by Chantal Kreviazuk. I've never heard it sung by a woman before, and this lady is bomb!! It's on the Armageddon album.
Thank you! This is exactly the kind of music that I've been looking for lately! I just haven't taken the time to look for it:) So thanks for the post! I'm definitely going to check a lot of this stuff out!
I made a scrap book of the magazine articles I wanted to save from one of my magazines. It turned out super cute!! I cute out the articles, then added cute pictures here and there. I've had it for about seven years now. Even if you're not a big scrapbooker, it's easy because everything is all provided right there. You just gotta cut it out and glue it. I just glued it to colored paper, and stuck it in those clear pockets and threw it in a binder.
I like this post. I have lots to say about it but I think I'll just say it in person when I see you next. :)
Your camera lens makes me drool.
Cool! You're in charge of Thanksgiving desserts!
wow! kenny is cool!
and that last picture of you two is soooo cute!
Gorgeous! I really love them all.
Hello Kristin. That's really good for you… being a nice photographer. Yeah, it's safe to have all your photos and other stuff online. I personally use http://www.safecopybackup.com. It's been so great. am so happy about this. I love the 3GB free space for safecopy.
I love following your blog. Your photos are great and you always post "real" stuff. You are a doll.
Dang, two weeks too late! ;)
That's my baby! I totally thought about letting you do this when she was born… but I thought you'd be weirded out. Sorry. :)
My sister is having a baby next Wednesday the 6th, I think she would love it, But she is in Orem. So might not work
I am Chelsea Sandberg's sister and I would love to be a participant! Your photos are beautiful!
I love the song… and I love the slideshow… and I think you did a really great job with these ones.
SO fuN!
I know it's a bit tacky to ask, but where on earth did you take these fun pictures!
not tacky at all sandy! they are taken all around hyrum… which i learned is the BEST for nature shoots. just go on a drive through hyrum, past hyrum dam, etc. and you'll find a ton of cool spots.
My suggestion for quick-and-dirty dinners: Quesadillas! Maybe with some grilled chicken stuffed inside them. But I sure do love Quesadillas and I eat them all the time!
Also you should check out http://www.foodgawker.com. Most of the food is far above my skill level but it is fun to look at anyway.
Want to have a recipe exchange?
We do a lot of easy dinners. Our George Foreman grill saves us. We cook chicken in a pan with taco seasoning, throw it in tortillas with cheese and then throw it on the foreman to make it crispy. We also cook a lot of chicken on there too which is really easy. We do easy sides with it like green beans, broccoli, mashed potatoes, rolls, asparagus… etc. Asparagus is the best and it's so easy. Just drizzle olive oil and vinegar over it, some seasoning, and throw it in the oven at 350 degrees for about 40 min. You can buy these frozen dinners in a bag, like fettuccini (sp?) alfredo. All you do is dump the contents in the pan and let it cook for like 20 min. So easy, and stouffer's is the BEST!! Throw fish fillets on a hamburger bun and do fish sandwiches. Have you ever had show boats? You boil hot dogs, split them long ways like the bun, put them on a cookie sheet (no bun) and pile mashed potatoes on top, sprinkle cheese, and throw in the oven until the cheese melts. It sounds weird, but it's gooooood!!
Yes, family and conference! There is no better combo in the whole world! :) Good luck, Kristin. And, I should say: Good luck, Corey! :)
Awesome. My child picking his nose. And yeah, that was a really fun weekend.
Ahh the hardest part for me when my sister left was 3 months later when I realized that I hadn't seen her for 3 months and that wasn't going to change for another 15 months. And then those times that I forget about her…that sucks. Mourn all you want my friend, missions are crap sometimes!
I like that picture. It made me cry… again, dang it. :)
I want more!!
Oh man! These photos are gorgeous! I can't wait to see the lot!
These are fantastic! Great job!
What a beautiful beautiful time to capture!
I want more too!! These looks amazing!!!
Kristin, these are BEAUTIFUL!!! You have such a talent! It makes me cry to look at them.
these are beautiful!!!
i need to ask you about this.
Good luck. That is hard to do. I wish I had mornings, but I work at 7 in SL…so…
Did you get bangs?
nope just my same old side bangs. :)
I hope it doesn't interfere with MY plan to take over the world!
Ah I absolutely love homemade jam and I've been avoiding making it because it seems to hard. Maybe I'll have to try it now.
so do i! so funny:)
Haha, you're like me. I just like writing things down to experiment with my handwriting :)
OH my heck, I have been waiting for this. I loved it. It made me cry. I think you are amazing. I can't even begin to say enough good things about it. :) I wish I'd had you do it for me six months ago!
whoa. this totally made me cry.
beautiful!
Kristin! This is amazing! You are so talented, it is great.
I love the new logo also, it is beautiful.
You captured the day perfectly. You truly have a gift. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!
Unbelievably beautiful! What a treasure. Proud of you.
Wow! That was so beautiful! I've never seen anything like that before! I may or may not have cried a little at the end… :)
i like your lists. haha. i miss seeing them from when we were roommates
That was amazing. They will treasure those pictures forever!
You are so talented! I love this.
Kristin, this is beautiful!! Love everything about it. Hope this is the first of many. You did a great job, and might have made me cry which isn't easy. Also love the new logo:)
This is incredible Kristin! The one of her crying and holding the baby almost brought me to tears. Well done!
These are incredible Kristin! You have such a talent, keep up the good work!
again… these are so great!
your composition is way neat in some of them!
oh my i love them all. LOVE the one with her teary eye. Wowzers!
I like grilled artichoke. You can find directions on google. It's easy. You just dip them in a little butter and scrape the meat off of them with your teeth! They make a great snakck! Use the lettuce and tomatoes to make grilled chicken salads!
I am on a special diet for my diabetes so I have to eat a protein with every meal. My favorites are almonds, peanut butter, string cheese or cheese sticks, boiled eggs, chicken. Dairy is also good protein, just buy low fat. Cottage cheese, milk…. And if you want, Costo sells this powder to make protein shakes. I know everybody says they are awful but they sell CHOCOLATE!! Mix it with low fat milk and you got yourself some delicious, healthy chocolate milk!!
You make me laugh!
We make chicken fajitas with green and red peppers and onions. It's so easy. You just cube up chicken and put salt and pepper and onion salt on in and marinade it in lime juice for about half an hour. Then you stir fry your chicken and then add in your vegetables and wrap it up in a whole wheat tortilla. Its really good. We also like to make rice bowls. You can either buy frozen vegetables (we like the ones you steam in a bag) or fresh vegetables. You just cook up your choice of meat and veggies and put them on top of brown rice and top it with teriyaki sauce. It's an easy way to get a complete meal. Dairy products are a good source of protein just watch the saturated fat! I have no idea how to make or eat and artichoke. Let me know if you learn! Loves!
Since I don't do the Twitter thing I will tell you here: YES you should watch Glee. And yes, you will become addicted to it.
Yeah, he's cute — but I wish he lived at your house, too. . .
Kristen, I'm not really sure to explain how I know you. Your sister Katie is married to my husband's cousin. I loved the pictures you just took of Chloe so I came across this batch of pictures. I was honestly moved to tears. You truly captured the miracle of life. The Mom and Dad have to be so pleased!
One more thing- we do want to have kids one of these days and if I'm so lucky to have them I would LOVE to have you do this for us. Truly amazing.
KRISTIN! The new blog design looks lovely!
I like-a your logo. Very clean and lovely. It's all very unified and organized. I bet that feels good. Good job!
i was really unsure of this idea when you told me. but these are so tastefully done. congrats! they are beautiful! (i'm converted! maybe in a billion years when i finally have kids you can do some for me. :D)
Great pictures — cool setting!
oh my gosh! this is great!!
awww looks like it was lots of fun! :)
super creative costumes and super fun photos!
Yup, the hose pictures are definitely the best.
Your house is so cute!
I'm impressed. And those brownies were not terrible. They were good!
ahh ur moving fom this blog when?
Does Alison's blog have the recipe on it? I need me a good gingersnap recipe.
That cheesecake looks AMAZING!
The wilderness must be explored!
Beautiful lighting. What an adorable niece you have! :)
Yeah, she is pretty irresistible, isn't she? :) Thanks again. I LOVE these and as always, you are so talented.
HAHAHA, simplify…. good luck. :) You sound like me.
First off, just yesterday Tyler went off telling me how he just discovered Modern Family and how hilarious it is. Perhaps we’ll adopt that as our new show since we’ve caught up on How I Met Your Mother (I HIGHLY recommend that one!!!). Also, I know I’m not usually the kind of person to recommend a hairstylist, but I absolutely love my haircut and it’s mostly because I feel like the stylist did a really good job and totally knew what she was doing. You should check her out.
looks great! i love it!
except your little link on the side “click here just to see the photos” doesn’t work. :( i didn’t know if you knew.
looks great! i love it!
except your little link on the side “click here just to see the photos” doesn’t work. :( i didn’t know if you knew.
Whoa… you are way more computer savvy than I am or will probably ever be. :) Good job; I like it a lot. But I don’t like typing my name and email address in to leave you a comment, just fyi. :)
Congrats! Looks great!
I really like it! I’m so wanting to buy a ProPhoto blog, but I can really think of a hundred other things I want to spend that money on right now =(
This looks so super duper good though! Very nice, clean, professional looking! Good job!
Love the new blog!
P.S. Been seeing a lot of you and your hubby on some of the Photo Cafe peeps websites! I’m jealous you guys got to be models! So many fun pictures!
So with you on this one.
SO SO SO SO with you :)
I’m the same way. Only light edits in lightroom and call it good. I took a photoshop class recently from a friend who has a very different editing style and philosophy. He was removing freckles and moles on people’s arms! I was astounded. Not only was it so much more work and time, but the people don’t look like that in reality! And You’re exactly right… make people look like their best selves, not a fake self. AMEN!
i agree with you 100%! it really bothers me when photos come out looking like totally different people! my post processing is the same… except i shoot RAW. (you don’t shoot RAW?) i’ll edit out blemishes, but i’m not a big fan of making my clients look like porcelain dolls.
I agree with you so much! I have freckles and love them, I think I’d look so funny if they were gone. It just wouldn’t be me at all. That little girl is beautiful. I don’t see why they added all that make up and that flawless look to here. I wish more people especially in the media would stop making people, especially young girls feel they need to look a certain way. Thanks for sharing this!
I used that Dove commercial for a project I did once.Crazy! Did you notice they even smoothed her hair out in the first ad?! oh my word.
I saw this same add in a photography magazine just yesterday! I agree with you on all points, but at the same time, perhaps for the purposes of the add they are merely showing an extreme example of the kind of retouching that is possible with their software. It doesn’t mean that all people who use their software will skew the images to that extent, but you could, if you wanted.
yeah that’s probably true robby. but still, they should have used an adult with lots of zits or wrinkles instead of a cute little girl with freckles. :)
That advertisement is one of the most depressing things I’ve seen in a while. It looks like they added makeup, changed her eye color, and narrowed her smile. Not cool! When I have kids, I will NOT be using a photographer that makes them look like alien children, or porcelain dolls. Like you said, I want to remember them the way they actually were, and photographs are all about remembering.
ooo! i love the print! it’s so pretty!
and i also love the convo we are having. it makes me miss you a whole lot.
Gorgeous canvas! Love the random photos too…so fun! I try to do the photo a day thing but I’ve been a huge slacker lately!
Cute photos!
I had to do the same thing with my family pics this year!
I felt funny about asking some of my photog friends to take my family pics or trade.
Your pics turned out way cute!
I like your blog, by the way. So clean and nice!
So dang cute! I think the top ones are totally keepers too! Too funny!
I like ‘em all! I told my hubby I want to buy a remote for my camera and play with taking our own pictures to see how good I can do! haha
And you are right, I’m positive you’ll get some goodies from Brooke’s class! ;)
your self portraits are great!!!
Pretty!
Hey! Hey! I am one of those in-laws who love you! I am grateful for an awesome sister-in-law who does great things and is beautiful.
I’m thankful for a daughter who is simply lovely — inside and out. (Two of them, actually :) )
It looks like it was tons of fun! I’m relieved to know I’m not the only one who is bad at taking pictures of family functions like I dream of! =)
PS. Chloe is a DOLL!
I’ll tell you what. You just keep taking pictures of my kids and I’ll start taking more of you and Kenny, how ’bout. :) I love these all and might need to get copies soon. Also, can I come borrow your camera cord? :)
Hey! I took a video of Ken and Bret dancing to “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”. I can’t make this stuff up.
Yay! I love them. Those turned out pretty dang good for a seven minute photo shoot. :) Thanks again.
Love the pics! And those are some dang cute kids! :)
Your house. :) That’s a good place for mini sessions. Outside or even inside your house with the cool windows and stuff.
Loving this picture! Makes me want to take one like it of my tree! =) Very awesome!
Are there any cute coffee shops in Logan? That would be a good warm up place with hot coffee or hot chocolate for a little break =)
I love doing this with lights :) Merry Christmas! I think you’re great!
A couple of the things aren’t showing up for me =( Namely, number 1 and number 5. Although, Pinterest? Never heard of it, but I’m sold! I’m so trying it out!
LOVE!
That is all.
I love them all!!! (I think I say that all the time on here.) I really like the one(s) of you guys on the truck. And that silhouette one is awesome. :) Cool.
Looking good you two! haha! Cute pics!
You guys are so cute! I love the comment on feeling like an engaged couple again…that’s a cool thing! :)
Kristin I am so glad you joined in! And I love the image. It is fascinating to see everyone’s view and this is definitely a unique one. I love the landscape, the clarity so far away and the distortion of the dark, light and dof of the foreground. Love!
Oh man I just adore this image… sometimes it’s so good to do something that makes us feel uncomfortable and even ruin shoes.
Cute! I love your sweater!
So cute!
Dang I posted twice. It said there was an error the first time. Oh well. I really like then enough to comment twice! Can’t wait to see you.
haha about ruining your shoes – beautiful image though. Love the contrast of textures and colors; very nice!
If you get on Michael’s website you can print off 50 percent off coupons from now until I think Monday. They have super cute decorations. And also, the dollar store has cute stuff. Just in case you need anymore. Very cute tree :-)
Why haven’t I been over to see them in real life??
Great pictures and your house looks SO festive and CUTE~!
If you can wait until after Christmas you will get killer deals on decorations. I got a 300.00 tree for my family room at Hobby Lobby 2 years ago for $40.00. Its usually a couple of days after Christmas…things keep getting cheaper if you wait…a few days. I paid 6 or 7 bucks for 50.00 garland…and if its not cute enough…sometimes its picked over but you can take two really cheap garlands and put them together and they look pretty dang great!
oooh thanks for the tips guys!
GOOD LUCK KENNY!!
absolutely amazing. I’m sure it was an incredible feeling to photograph such an amazing event. well done.
YAY! They turned out great so far, Kristin. Love the lighting! Thanks for experimenting with me :) Love you! What a fun weekend!
I like your decorating style (and your photography, but you already know that)! I wanna see your house :)
Ooooh! I kinda want to buy one just cause they’re cute. I love that font. Do you know what it is?
thanks! the font is the same one as in my logo which is called ‘martin got urw.’ there is also a really similar one called euroflorence light.
so cute! i don’t think we will even put up a tree. :( we don’t have time.
Whoa, cool! :)
I plan on trying this technique for the first time soon too… Neat!
what a nice little treat to see you “playing” with your gear :). The images are quite lovely!
So…I tried this. And I’m even more impressed at yours! =) It’s not easy! Nice job Kristin!
These are all so beautiful!
Nice work Kristin! So exciting for you! =)
what do you do with a pocket wizard???
it’s how you use your flash off-camera… they are basically remotes to connect the flash and camera wirelessly.
It’s a little frightening how closely this resembles the list I sent to Santa. ;) I feel the same way about my 50mm 1.8!
Hopefully Santa brings you at least ONE thing off this list! And if he does, I’ll know that posting on the blog works, and instead of sending my letter next year, I’ll blog it. =)
Ha! Hope you and Kenny have a Merry Christmas!
I have the 50mm 1.4 and I loooove it. Although, I’ve never had the 1.8 to compare it to. I just know that I love my 1.4 and my aperture is set to 1.4 pretty much 90% of the time!
Kristin — I love these! I’ve actually stalked you for a bit… :) And you’re pretty great yourself! But how am I to pick a favorite? Goodness… ;)
Wow!!! Looks like fun!!! You guys had a HUGE Christmas. You must be rich or something. Congrats on the iPhone. You will LOVE it!
ha ha no way are we rich. that was including all the gifts for our millions of family members. :)
Oh iPhone. How did I ever live without mine?! Apps…
Words with Friends – and if you get it you must play with me! =)
CityStory is one of the most addicting games I have played on it.
WordPress app, ShakeItPhoto is super fun!, PS Express is actually pretty neato!
Cut the Rope is so fun and addicting, as well as Angry Birds, and Plants vs. Zombies.
B&H Photo has an app that is pretty sweet. And of course, my favorite shopping app; Amazon!!!
That’s a good list to get you started! =) Have fun!
Oh and… Guitar Hero. Yes. My hubby and I are the same. I rock, him…not so much! =) I love that game too!
yay! thanks chelsea!!
Love love love this holiday. What fun presents! Wahoo! :D I think you guys are just plain adorable, mmmk? :) P.S. I got a cute frilly apron, too! We should bake together! :O I’m serious!
Wonderful post! The baking photos are fab!
i’m coming to your house for cookies! the shots are so beautiful, they should be in a baking book!
I LOVE these pictures. And anytime you need someone to bake some more cookies for, I’m available. :)
Wonderful images! Love the cookies!
i jumped on the bandwagon and downloaded angry birds and i’m totally addicted. it’s a way fun game.
Gorgeous!
Kristin Brown. You, my friend, are fabulous. I can’t say it enough. Thanks for the photoshoot and sweet compliments :) Love you!
So gorgeous. Great photographer, great model!! I’d kill for skin like that. :-)
These are great!

Umm… how about not California and instead you could galavant down to Provo or something?
i’m going through the same problem right now, but luckily my bills haven’t been too outrageous. i turn the thermostat down to 55-60 when i’m not home and at night, then crank it up to 70 when i am home. i don’t know if it helps or not.
i’ve covered my windows and insulated the doors too. my apartment isn’t as big as your house, but it is cold and old! :)
if you get any good tips, please share! :)
Oh gosh… We lived in a house just like that in Providence–thermostat at 58, wearing hoodies to bed buried beneath 6 layers of blankets, skyrocketing bills; those old houses are terrible.
Good news though–during the summer it stayed cooler inside than out, so, 6 more months of winter duration?
i spoke to soon. i got my gas bill last night and it had doubled from the previous month. i immediately turned the heat down and put on a sweatshirt and sat under a blanket all night.
oh no emily! i’m sorry! i feel your pain. stupid winter.
we are willing!!! but i guess i fall into that category of “already been photographed before…”
darn it!
I reallllllly wish my lover liked pictures. I’d totally be in. But I had to beg and beg just to get wedding pictures out of that guy. I’ll ask around though.
i wish i at least lived in the same state as you. :(
Hello. I am daniel blaser’s wife. I think we got married the same day you and your husband did. :) I don’t know if we qualify, but we will probably be available and we live in SLC. P.S. your photos rock!
We can do it if you want! We aren’t engaged but we can act like we are :)
Let me know.
We can do it! We are married, not engaged but we would love to pretend.
Let me know if you still need someone!
I bet a trip to Florida would do the trick ….
Me too!! http://livingourparadise.blogspot.com/2011/01/this-isnt-post.html What a very, very blah day.
AMEN!!! I agree to all of that! I need a serious dose of Vitamin D!
I could NOT agree more!!! Winter is seriously over-rated!!!
Oh man…I am so with you on this one! I was having the same thoughts this morning! I hope you can figure out how to stay warm in your house. Hand warmers maybe?
I also love a clean sink and freshly made bed.
I also feel like you do– I swear it’s January and all the baggage it brings.
I also really want you to keep blogging, because well, I read your blog faithfully and love it!
PS- I think you’re an amazing photographer. So simple, but soo beautiful and breathtaking. EXACTLY what I want to be. No overly photo-shopped photos. Just simple, beautiful images. :)
Good luck with January! Just know, you’re definitely not the only one fighting the blues…
Ditto to all of what Katie said! I really think the blah feeling has something to do with January! We’ll all get through it! =) And things will be better! I have a sneaking suspicion that this may start around the time spring flowers start creeping up!
Keep blogging and keep shooting as you work through it!!! =) I, too, follow faithfully and would hate to see the blog posts cease around here!
I just giggled at Kenny’s photo. Do you mean “buff” as in color? Or “buff” as in muscles? ;) Cause I think you have a little play on words going with that one!
So, I said I was going to do this one, but I’m a slacker, and I’m way far behind!
But I’m enjoying looking at yours! =)
WOW! That is all. Just WOW.
I tried this, and I’m pretty sure I don’t know how to do it successfully! So I resorted to buying some macro filters, and I can’t make those work either! =( And then I sold the lens that they fit on, so I need to send them back and buy a different size LOL!
Sheesh! I’m not sure macro is meant for me!
Very cool shots!
I love these. The last one is my favorite.
congrats to kenny on such an awesome score. i remember how terrified i was of the ACT. i can’t imagine taking the LSAT!
How about PROVO…???
Congrats to Kenny! That is so awesome and I am sure it’s from years of hard work!! What a good wifey to support him so much too. I’m sure you don’t get as much of his time as you’d like when he is studying up a storm. Good luck on making future plans. You guys will do great!!
Wow! Congrats to the both of you! That score Kenny recieved on the LSAT is incredible! Way to go! I agree with things in life you simply can’t plan everything, and sometimes it creates some fear. But you guys will be happy no matter where you go! :)
Congrats again, that is wonderful!
Haha- sorry the anonymous commentor was me, Monica. I clicked publish comment without any of my information :)
wow!!! that’s great! good job, kenny! you guys could move to texas, because that’s where we might be going. :) then we could be friends… in texas… since i won’t have any.
Holy Krud! [sp?] Job well done!
ha – i see my little picture 4 times in this post. :)
i’ve had a twitter for a while, and never really gotten into it! haha starting to a little bit more as of late, but we’ll see! i followed you. and if you think your followers is measly, check out mine haha!
I’ve used it for a couple of years. Its a great way to save little tidbits of life for scrapbooking. :)
Oh no! Flooding is the worst! I’m sorry. I hope the rest of your week goes better!
So awesome! If I ever decide to have children…you can count on me doing this! =)
As soon as I am pregnant I will be booking with you :-)

Great job capturing the feeling!
Ohh I LOVE these!

I LOVE these so very much. Beautiful. Simply, beautiful. Do you do your B&W in Lightroom? Just curious. :)
Very pretty yellows.
You are gonna rock the bridal fair! If I wasn’t two hours away I would TOTALLY come see you and be a cheerleader! ha! =) Can’t wait to hear how it goes!

i need to get a macro! love how close you got to these!
Love the feather image. Beautiful.
I promise I will never be a “not-so-nice mom” to you! Also, way to go with Zumba! I’m so uncoordinated I dare not even attempt it! Happy February!
It looks so cozy and inviting!
lovely shade of yellow! I love the variety in tone
Oh I wish I could come to see you at the bridal fair! Good luck! I can’t wait to hear how it goes! You’re doing amazing things! Lots of exclamation points!
That last shot is RIGHT outside of my internship! :D This is my favorite street in Salt Lake City…besides Temple Square and the Gateway :) Love these. So beautiful!
so cute! i’m so jealous you met mandy! i LOVE mandy and i want to meet her someday. they are a fab couple.
I love her tights!!! And I LOVE the shot looking up that awesome round corner building, and the shot with the umbrella, and the b/w shot that looks like she’s whispering a secret in his ear…well, really I love them all! =) Very nice work! I can’t wait to see your promo video!
KRISTIN! You’re famous and so talented! :D This is a beautiful setup. I’m so proud of you for taking your passion above and beyond! It’s a pleasure being your friend and watching you succeed! Keep up the good work. Everything looks awesome!
Kristin! This is so fantastic!
I used Barbara for my cake too and I liked her but when I asked for pink bubbles and got red it was disappointing and didn’t match at all :( And I think it’s so awesome your videographer got a cake for you!! He deserves a gold star!!!
I completely agree!! Congrats! Everything looks beautiful! I can’t wait to hear more about it!
It looks so great! Congratulations!
Kristin it looks so great!!! I’m glad you had fun and met a lot of people:) I’m really bummed I couldn’t be there:( But Congrats on being so professional and awesome:)
I think these pictures are gorgeous, and I really really like the location. :)
Looks great! I love the clean look of your set up!
Ooohhhh yay! It looks uh-mazing friend!!!

(:

kristin. i love your blog because through reading it, i feel like i know you more than i actually do on an in person level. it is because of your blog that i felt instantly comfortable with going on a 5 day trip with you (and the other fantastic girls!) to wppi. it is because of that comfort that i referred ashly to you to shoot her wedding and am excited to shoot it with you.
it’s perfect. =)
I feel the same way, that I never know exactly what to share. I tend to have different ideas of what I should share after I read someone else’s blog which means I tend to conform. But this post is completely honest, I should just share what I have to say and anyone is welcome to read it. I always enjoy your blog. Thanks :)
i feel the same way too. i want my blog to be like my journal, so i can look back and always know what i did and what i was thinking about at that time in my life. but sometimes i get caught up in making my blog like another blog and i’m not posting like i originally wanted or i too think about what those 12 followers of mine will want to read about or think of my post and i must impress them. just keep your blog real and how you want it to bed. those really interested in your blog will stay around.
I love your blog! Don’t change a thing. P.S. I showed my mom your first birth story video (after assuring her that I was NOT pregnant) and maybe we both shed a tear or two.
That was beautiful!
Kristin. This is incredible. Honestly, I think this is definitely one of your forte’s! Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful.
I can’t wait until you do this for us in August. :) So excited. What a moment to capture!
Beautiful, Kristin! As always, you do amazing work!
What the heck. You are AMAZING. As usual, you did a beautiful job. It made me cry. :)
perfectly beautiful!
I love it! I love that it is very tasteful. I’ve seen other birth stories with way too many body parts hanging out all over for my likings. I like that it is also al done in b&w.
Wow Kristin, these are just absolutely AMAZING. They are beautiful and perfect. I am in love. I can’t wait until the day I get to hire you to do this for me ;-)
Ah Kristin! I love it! Plus that’s Chelsea Sandberg’s sister..isn’t she great? You did and always do a fabulous job. You capture great moments, that is an amazing talent!
i wish i lived in utah. i would totally volunteer for all of your modeling needs! ha.
These are incredible! You have a wonderful gift, I hope I get to hire you one day! :)
Kristin. Incredible. I think I’ve told you this before – but I’ll tell you again. For someone who doesn’t have children in her plans, you make me want to have one (or two!) just so I can have these beautiful memories. And I promise you, if I ever change my mind, I’ll hire you to photograph it! =)
There is nothing more miraculous and beautiful than birth! Love these!
I know you know this already but I love these pictures!!! Thank you so much for being willing to be there through the whole ordeal! I love these pictures and will definitely do it again…if you can!!! I love his newborn pictures too! Can’t wait to see them posted too!
I would love to help you out if you are wanting a pregnant woman. haha :) I always thought it would be fun to get some pregnancy shots. :)
These are beautiful! They just got me all excited for our shoot! :) Yeay for little babies and precious birth story moments! Very nice work! :)
This is so so beautiful. Kristin! Why are you so talented and great! Have fun at your conference this weekend.
Yay!!!!!!! It’s going to be so much fun!
MANFEST 2011 – ha! i literally laughed out loud at that. maybe you should leave a camera for kenny and blog about it haha
I was not informed that there was going to be another man-night, especially not a manfest! Ugh.
My husband is very private. He doesn’t want anybody in the room when we bring our baby into the world. And he hates pictures. I just asked him if we can hire you for our birth story ;-) I still have plenty of time to convince him muah ha ha ha!!
Well that is a sweet deal! Good idea :)
Ow ow! Love that girl! Nice photography work as well!
Kristin! These are gorgeous! My favs are the ones on the white background! But you did an awesome job with the lighting!
Oh my! Where are those red stairs?! FAB! Love the pics. A lot.
Aw, I love you too. :) Besides the fact that I need a haircut, I like how these turned out and am always impressed with you. :) You know what I think is cool about studio lighting? How big my pupils are in the photos… :)
Oh that’s cool. I am coveting that laundry room… and that hallway with the black picture frames…
You saw Jose the man Villa!!! Wow, that alone makes me jealous. Congratulations on really taking on and honing your business. Your savvy for business and your passion for your craft always inspire me. Keep up the good work, Kristin! :) I’m proud of you!
You are most definitely not the only person who thinks of girl scout cookies and Easter candy in March. I have a slight addiction to candy. Ok, major addiction, but it’s just so delish!!
Cheer up! Spring will be here soon. I have been feeling the same way lately. I like your idea for your to do list. It’s good you can realize that you are being too hard on yourself.
What? How did I not know you were doing all that yesterday? I even saw you the day before. Hmm. You need to come over and chat.
i’m so glad you stopped by and let my cat hiss at you! haha. she really liked you by the time you left. :) i loved your photos from the shoot! i just looked at them. the lighting is really pretty. also, i had a very blah day too. i hope your’s and mine looks better tomorrow.
Super cute pics! LOVE the ones of Cindy!

I really love the video. It’s great.
Kristin!!! That is such a cute promo video!! I loved the intro and the ending , and the middle too!I loved it all!! I think it is awesome!!! Hope you are doing well :)
It turned out great!!! PS I love your boots!
WOW! Lucky you. Love it!
Oh they will CHERISH these images. We haven’t had ones done in so long and they mean a lot as you get older! Love your blog and also following you on thebschool!
Beautiful post, you are on the right path. I don’t think that someone’s vision or style is something that you arrive to after a few years, I think it’s something that even once you’ve discovered it and even after you are able to identify it, it’s still something that is always changing, ever growing. That’s the beauty of it. :) Great post! Very thought-provoking!
I have visions of spinning on a merry-go-round painted like a world for hours and hours…
LOVE the new design! Very classy!! Oh and all the new pics of you are BEAUTIFUL!
Mmmm… I love the light! Great job!
you are so cool. i wish i could plan fab parties like this one.
I looove that scenery, oh for some hills in Illinois :)
I really love your new design. And what the heck…? How did I not know Dad had a website…?
PS. CUTE shower decorations! Good job. :)
These are so pretty! Such a pretty girl too! Great job!
Ohh fun. I’m glad you guys had a good time. I love all the pictures. :) Come visit us!
looks like you had a nice weekend. :)
You are welcome. We love you back!
Kristin this looks great! Do you mind if I post it on my blog?
LOVE your new glasses!! Tres chic. . .
cute new glasses!! i love them!
I might have slept through that. . .
I’m SO jealous and excited to see the pictures you take. We went to Paris a few years ago and here are some tips:
1-Call the number on the back of any and all credit cards you may be using out of country and tell them when you’ll be in France. If you don’t they’ll shut down your card for fraud. You can also find out what their currency exchange rate is- some will charge you an extra 1-2% on every purchase.
2- Getting Euros from a local bank at this point probably won’t work because they have to order Euros in. You can exchange the money at the airport when you get there or at a bank. Also, its not the end of the world to use ATMs over there if you run out.
3- Call your cell phone provider and make sure there is an international plan on your phone. We didn’t do this and didn’t have service the whole time.
4- I know you may be tempted to pack large, but we stayed in Eurpoe for 10 days and all I had was a back-pack and a carry-on. I was so glad I did this because we had to haul our stuff everywhere. Also, we didn’t worry about our luggage getting lost because we had it all with us.
5- I’m not sure what hotel you’re staying in (some hotels have USA plugs), but plugs (for a flat iron and blowdryer) are different. I would buy a plug converter (NOT a plug/Watt converter) and make sure your stuff can work at 220 volts. (USA runs on less like 120). You’re going to blow anything that isn’t up to that capacity. You can buy an inexpensive travel blowdryer that will convert and check at Sally’s about a flat iron. All of our stuff that recharged cameras, phones, iPods worked for any voltage so we just needed the plug converter. It says right on the plug what voltage it uses.
When we got to Paris I plugged in my blowdryer to my plug/Watt converter and had a huge spark and the plug converter was toast. We scrambled to find one in Paris and I had to buy a flat iron there too.
Don’t miss- The Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triumph, Paris Operahouse, Paris Bakeries, The Orsay museum, Versailles, Notre Dame and Chartes, and PLEASE take a sunset walk on the Seine.
Sorry I think I’m all adviced out. Have a great time!!!!
If you don’t come back I’m taking away your birthday!
Hey, Andrea seemed to cover everything pretty well. I would add a few things:
Bring a ton of warm clothes. We went in May so we were thinking it’d be pretty warm, but boy were we wrong. We had rain the whole time and we didn’t have enough clothes to keep us warm.
We used our debit card to pull out cash in about 100euro increments each day. If we did use a card to make purchases we used our credit card, but I would definitely advise bringing both a debit and credit card. 100 euros seemed to be a good amount for each day and it wasn’t too much – in case we did get pick pocketed. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen though!
I would also take Andrea’s advice of packing light and only carrying one backpack. We each had a single hiking backpack for our 17 days in Europe and I would not have done it any other way. It reduced the chance of pickpocketing too cuz you know where all your stuff is.
You should also see the catacombs! That was one of my favorite things. But go early cuz the line gets really long. And pay extra for the guided tours (headsets) where ever you go. You won’t regret it. And pay the extra to go on top of Notre Dame too. That was pretty cool.
Have fun Kristin! I hope you like it :)
I’m sure glad two other wonderful women have left you advice, because since I’ve never been to Paris, I don’t have any! =) So needless to say, I’m quite jealous. I’ll be sure to live vicariously through your photos when you return. If you can tweet while you are there, please tweet a lot, that will add to my experience, and I would really appreciate it. ;) haha okay, so I’m kidding. I would rather you enjoy your time in a beautiful place with the love of your life! =) But it would be fun to see a tweet that says something like “I’m at the Eiffel Tower!” =) hahaha
On a more serious note, as much as I would love for you to live there with Kenny happily ever after, our WPPI trips would be missing a very important piece of the puzzle, so I do hope you will return! =)
Have fun!
if you are going to use your afcu cards, go to a branch and tell them you will be traveling. they will note it and then our visa department won’t block your cards because they think it’s fraud.
I wouldn’t blame you if you never came back, cause PARIS IS AMAZING! Then I’d have someone to stay with when I decide to go back! HEY! ;) Savor every single second! I’m not kidding. You’ll miss it a lot when you get home. Nothing in America is Paris. Not even a bottle of Chanel.
Plus, don’t miss out on the following sites if you can help it:
-The Champs-Elysees
-The Arc de Triomphe
-THE PALACE OF VERSAILLES!!!!
-Notre Dame Cathedral of course (listen to the bells and go inside!)
-The Louvre! (you won’t be able to see everything, so at least make it to: Mona Lisa, Venus De Milo, Nike, the glass pyramid outside, etc.
-The Eiffel Tower (duh) – a day & a night! And go up if you can! Great view!
-Somewhere along the Mediterranean Coast if you can! BEAUTIFUL!
-The Paris Opera House – Kristin, it was closed for referbishing when I was there, so if you get to go inside and see all the amazing gold leafing, etc! Take a pic for me, k? :D
-Wear cute/fun clothes. It’s so much fun to dress up in Europe! :)
-Pick-pocketers target large crowds of people standing close together. If somebody “bumps” you, check for your belongings and keep a hand on your purse/camera. But definitely bring your Canon EVERYWHERE! It’s worth the tiny risk to get shots of all the things you’ll see!
-My goodness! Soak it in! It is culture and history and art and loveliness at its finest!
-OH! And the statue of “The Thinker” – we just drove by the garden where it was and I was bummed
-Take as many tours as possible. ESPECIALLY if you go to Versailles! French History is incredibly interesting, especially when you’re standing RIGHT THERE!
BAH! I’m jealous. Let me know if you have any questions…like, “We have an extra ticket, will you come?!” ;) Stuff like that! HAVE A BLAST (no doubt)! I’m praying for beautiful French weather!
le second est mon préféré.
i’m just giving you a taste of french, compliments of google translate – so i’m not vouching for how accurate it is. =)
Hi. Okay first up, I loved your landscape pics! Especially the second one. BeaUtiFUL!
Now Paris! It looks like you’ve been given some great advice already! I just wanted to add a couple things. If you go to the Palace of Versailles, make sure you go to the GARDENS and walk the gardens to Marie Antoinnette’s cottages in the back. The Palace was a bit overdone for me, but I ended up LOVING the gardens. It is quite a walk, but it is so pretty and there are some way awesome buildings in the back.
If you are able to go to Normandy by the coast, DO IT. I haven’t been but everybody who has been there says it was worth it 100 times over. But if you don’t go, James and I are planning to go back someday and you guys can just come with us! haha!
And probably the most romantic thing we did was take a walk around the eiffel tower/river at night while eating a crepe. Beautiful and awesome!
Oh and that reminds me. EAT CREPES. THe street carts are everywhere and they are amazing.
We went to Europe over a year ago in October and I wrote about it on my personal blog so if you are interested here is the address to the stuff I wrote on Paris…
http://thesteeldiaries.blogspot.com/2009/11/paris.html
I am SO completely jealous! You guys are going to have the best time!!!
The Eiffel tower is incredible. I could not get over how huge it is! You will love being there. We got on the tower as the sun was setting and it was so amazing. Best time to go!
I MISS YOU!!
5WzRAA nice.
GORGEOUS… Just like I expected. :)
OMG!
Ooooh I love them
These are breath taking.
Stunning! Beautiful shots!
Oh my…these nearly made me cry. I want to see MORE! :D
these are gorgeous!! you should offer them as prints! i’m sure plently would snatch them up! i am totally jealous of your fabulous adventure!
Awesome!!! I am so jealous! haha! Yes, I would LOVE to have you make me some delicious french food! haha! Can’t wait for more paris posts!
Oh my heck. I love it. More Paris posts! :)
Kristin! Your trip to Paris looks fabulous! What a fun get-away! When I was looking through your French cooking experience in this post; it reminded me of Julia & Julia! (“I’m Julia Child, Bon Apetit”! Love, love it!) That is an awesome experience to cook French food, and I am glad that Kenny and you had such a wonderful time in Paris! Also thank you for the comment on my brown hair! :)
looks so fun! and good job kenny with the photo taking. you are a pro :)
I love seeing all of your Paris pictures (and Kenny’s too)…beautiful! I actually went and got a library card. The French cooking book you showed me is checked out but I put it on reserve for May :-)
Oh fun. I want some of your baguette. :)
You really have a way with newborns. Well done!
Ok, this is great. Not only are we now facebook friends, but we can be blog friends! I think this has taken our new friendship to a whole new level.
These pictures are gorgeous. I love every single one. I really like the ones you did it black and white too. I remember feeling the exact same when I went to the Louvre… exhausted, and my feet and back were killing me the whole time. I wish I could have enjoyed it more when I went, or at least taken good pictures. :)
Just beautiful!! I also loved the exterior of the Louvre, the inside left me feeling tired. I sat outside and soaked my feet in the water afterwords… is that allowed?? LOL Love the photos inside the apartments, it is dark in there, I’m impressed with your steady hand!
Beautiful pictures and a lot of fun. I especially love the last three B&W architectural ones!
Oh dear. I know how you are feeling oh-too-well.
In fact, I am feeling it lately too!
But I’ll tell you why I think it happens.
To REMEMBER the things that truly do matter most.
I know how easily it is get bogged down by the world.
Feeling envious over other photographer’s amazing work.
Reading way more blogs than verses in my scriptures.
Spending more time on my computer than with my husband.
I could go ON and on.
Thankfully for ruts, so they get us back on track and back in balance!
Even if it takes one or a few emotional breakdowns to get us there. :)
o0ZIOP ktooviaxrdpy
I also think you need to add to your to-do list: Invite the Siddoways over. :) But I get what you’re saying! Sometimes it’s just simple things like scripture study and some exercise that really gets us up. I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise to us when we take care of our spiritual bodies and physical bodies that we feel better. It’s like Heavenly Father planned it that way or something. :) If you need an exercising buddy, I am free. Doing something with people helps keep me more motivated!
I love the Eiffel Tower too. :) I LOVE that last photo. And the one of Kenny’s tower in front of the real tower. Cool. :)
For some reason, that makes me feel a little bit like crying. . .
oooo!!! that last picture is so pretty! and you guys are so cute. looks like fun!
lovely pictures.
I LOVE YOUR DRESS!!! Also… um you need to come over and talk to me like tomorrow. :)
i’m not going to lie. i HATE the vagueness… please tell me. :)
You are the best. I am in love with these pictures. :)
Ok, I’ll let it slide that you like Peeta because he reminds you of Kenny, but I am totally a Gale lover. I haven’t read the third book yet, I’m waiting to read them all with Paul after we finish Harry Potter. :)
LOVE. Simply love.
Um… that last one? Yeah. It’s my fav. And I’m pretty sure that little face can make someone who never plans on having kids want them. =) PS. I think subconsciously you are out to make me want kids. haha – birth stories? now this? sheesh! ;)
she is SOOOOOOO CUTE!
Chloe is the most adorable little girl. WHAT GREAT PICTURES.
Love the cool lighting in the ones!!!! Great session!
These are awesome. I was going to say I like the first one best, but I really can’t decide because they are all gorgeous. :) Cute couple!
love these, especially the one on the stairwell!
I think everyone’s a little jealous of the royal wedding. :) Good job on so much accomplishment. Can I see you soon?
LOVE THESE! I am so excited to get our prints! Thank you so much for this session :)
Kristin. This is beautiful. As usual. =)
I say it everytime – but you make me want a baby just so I can have this! LOL
you have such an amazing talent for this kind of shoot. so beautiful!!! i love them! and holy hair on that baby! i love it!
Beautiful. I love the ones of the doctor holding up the baby and you can just barely see her smile. :)
yup, i’m i tears. beautiful kristin.
I cry when I see your birth stories. Every. Single. Time.
whoa. i totally had a class with helga. i’m pretty sure. yeah.
That little boy is adorable. And all your pictures are gorgeous.
beautiful. makes me cry :) I love Helga :) Though I’m slightly jealous that she can look that amazing through labor! I didn’t allow a single picture until a week after the experience. (I didn’t even take pictures of our newborn that entire time as well.) The way you document the event though makes me reconsider for next time :) well done friend :)
I totally love this idea. It is just beautiful.
I am absolutely IN LOVE WITH THESE!! You truly captured the moment! They bring back to whole miracle of birth, both with Taysen and Makyla! Thank you so much Kristin! You are fabulous! Seriously words can not even begin to express how much this means to Bryan and I. You did an amazing job! It was really fun to have you there with us as well! :)
Love you too Brooke! You seriously are TOO kind! :) It’s all in Kristins photography skills. ;)
Thank you for the cry! :) We love them!
Um – your pre-visualized shot ROCKS MY SOCKS! That is so gorgeous, Kristin! Love it!
I love these. The colors are gorgeous and they are such a great couple!
Kristin, these are amazing!! I love how artistic they are, and it looks like you nailed the couples personality! I love these:)
so cute!
the last photo is really neat. i like the angle and editing.
Baahh awesome pictures. Shalese is so beautiful.
I just came across your blog. I probably spend way too much time looking at photography blogs. I love yours!!! Your work is so great! You’ve got talent;)
haha! i love kenny’s reaction. what a cool graduation gift. now he and lincoln can play games together on their iPads. as we speak, lincoln is playing frolf on his and shakes the bed every time he throws the Frisbee. fun stuff! haha
also, i’m so jealous you get a husband with no school. lincoln’s break only lasts for two weeks. and then he’s schooling again. blah! i can’t wait until he’s done.
also, hoytsville looks fun. can we go there sometime?
KRISTIN. These are my absolute favorite pictures you have ever taken. Love everything about them! So beautiful and the color and lighting is amazing! You are the freaking best! :)
Haha! I love those pictures of him opening the ipad. Your and his expression are PRICELESS! :) Congratulations, Kenny!
These are beauty-ful :) Good job, as always!
My goodness! You captured the city so beautifully in ALL of your photos. Good job. These make me salivate! :)
The pictures of Kenny’s reaction to the ipad are awesome. Paul and I had a good laugh at those. And I think it’s necessary for you two to start enjoying being out of school with US and come over for dinner and let us introduce you two to the game of BANG!
AH-MAY-ZZZING! I really love these images. They are beautiful!

How pretty! I don’t mind heavy photo weeks;) All of your Paris pictures are so beautiful.
I have a CD called Springtime in Paris. I have been meaning to ask if you want a copy, but now you have to have one. :) You’ll love it.
Although I’ve lived in Japan for more than half my life you’ve captured cherry blossoms in a way that I’ve never quite seen them. Well done! I took a look at your portraits, too, and found them moving. You definitely have a way of getting down to some important essence in people.
Clear skies,
joseph

2. good luck on your wedding. i’m super excited to see it!
3. hey your house sounds like mine! seriously though. as embarrassing as it may be, i’m totally taking a picture of my closet – which also is a big walk in closet with a clothing and shoes covered floor.

Pampering is a great thing that I think everyone needs every now and then. Good luck recuperating after your intense week…
Yep! She’s definitely beautiful! And all those other things you said! =) I miss you girls!!! Can’t wait for WPPI next year!
I want a spa day for $48 too! I was just thinking how that would be a nice present to myself. . maybe Christmas, because this year for my birthday I convinced Paul to just take me shopping instead of him trying to figure out what to buy me. And I’m going to tell you this- you really are an amazing photographer. If you ever need some people to experiment stuff with, Paul and I are more than willing! But I really do like looking at all your photos you post on here!
Oh how I love you gals! Thanks for the kinds words Kristin. I was just thinking about while I am working on my upcoming blog release watching NCIS :-) Thanks again for making these beautiful images!
These are beautiful! I think she looks like you. :)

Kristin, just like I told Chelsea… you guys did a fantastic job. I am so happy with our pictures and I can’t believe how great they turned out. Thank you so much for sharing our special day and for staying super late to wait for the limo that never showed haha… Thank you for everything!
Beautiful! Great job!
i have no words.
shocking, i know.
wait, that’s kind of a lie. i have some. i wish my husband would oblige me in taking these kind of pictures for our 5 year anniversary.
oh, and a few photographer brain words – the 70-200 is gorgeous, BUT it’s even more gorgeous on your 5DmkII. =( and alas, i am lusting after a new camera body even more.
that was a lot of words for having no words, huh!
Absolutely beautiful! I really want a 70-200 too :-) We can keep dreaming together.

I absolutely LOVE these!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) They are all so perfect!! If you ever need an assistant/2nd shooter for engagments/wedding/bridals I would love to!!:) Just send me an email.:)

This is so cute!
Cute! I love the song. Who sings it? And happy anniversary!
cute!!! happy anniversary!
Beautiful!! Also, I love the anniversary video. Awesome! :)
Dang, I thought I was your favorite person ever. Oh well… second place will have to do, I guess.
P.S. I want an iPhone.
I’m so glad you had a fun anniversary weekend! We still have not planned what to do for ours, but if it’s a nice day, I just might drag Chris up the canyon for a picnic. That sounds like a splendid idea! =)
PS. Katie – I think you need an iPhone too. ;)
Isn’t Caputo’s the best! There is also this other great market, Granato’s that I also love. I can’t wait until I get my iPhone too….just waiting the clock out for time to upgrade!
I’ve been super crazy busy and just got a second to check in and see how you’re doing… HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! You two are adorable!! Looks like you two had a fabulous weekend!
YAY!! You rock. :)
Dang it! Katie is a quick one! She always beats me to your posts! ;)
I love these!!! All of them. Good job, Kristin!
Um… I think those two kiddos get cuter by the day. Love the shoulder ride! :) I wish you were my auntie! Haha
And also, Kenny looks tired… Like he ran a relay race or something. Pffft.
I stole all the pictures and put them on my blog. :) Hope you don’t mind. Also, that picture of Kenny and Bret and Spencer is really cute (did you seriously take that with your iPhone??) and GOOD JOB to him!
When Jack saw these rainbows he told me they were “beauuuuuuuutiful!”
YAY! I just saw a full rainbow for the first time last month! I love rainbows! :D
I haven’t seen a rainbow in SO long! I’m well overdue to see one! These are so bright too! PRETTY!
Kristin! Your hair is so long and pretty! Just wanted you to know.
Beautiful! =) Love that ring shot!!! =)
Lovely images Kristin, just stunning.
Ooohh! I love it!
I’m just so fascinated with how dancers use their bodies, and some of these captured moments (eg. the last one) are just fantastic!
Can’t wait to see more!
Wow! Love the pictures! So beautiful! Love the project idea!
I didn’t know they had a BABY! My gosh, he is the handsomest little thing I have ever seen!
Congratulations, Kenny!
Hahaha.
Awww. Little baby lips! How cute is he! Congrats to them…and Kenny! =)
Kenny is going to be such a great little papa when that time comes for you guys!
wow! they had a kid??! crazy! congrats!
I LOVE these! Gorgeous.
So. . . Kenny the Godfather. I am entertained :)
Isn’t crazy how scared you can get from a dream? It’s almost like those feelings are more real than feelings you have when you’re awake! Well, life might go on without you, but rest assured that people would sure miss you. :)
THAT BABY…. is the cutest thing I’ve seen for a long time.
The analysis of this dream is quite clear. Your subconsious self does not want to move away from your momma. ;)
beautiful imagery… that Logan temple is HUGE and gorgeous. You handled the light there very well, I’m sure it was not easy.
The fourth is one of my favorite holidays too! Mainly because my family on my dad’s side always has a reunion around then, so we’ll be gone to that all next week, I’m so excited! I didn’t know there were Logan fireworks tonight. Do you know what time and where? That sounds like a lot of fun. Oh, and happy birthday next week!
That picture is so cool! Have a good fourth!! I also have to have licorice watching fireworks!;) ha ha.
I have a big flag you can borrow. :)
Beautiful job as always Kristin. Thank you again for letting me spend the day with you. It was perfect!
I love love love their colors. That reception was BEAUTIFUL! And you two ROCKED the photography! =) I’m so proud to call you both my friends! Yay!

It is SO true that birthdays are so downplayed for adults, and I too think it’s so sad. I’m glad your people are making it a good day for you!!
Happy birthday! I think taking the day off of work is a great way to start your birthday. Is Kenny taking you to sushi tonight? Ha ha! Enjoy the day.
Happy Birthday to an AWESOME photography!!:) Cute cookie!! And enjoy your massage!!
Happy Happy Birthday Kristin!!! =) I’m thankful I fell into category 2 for people knowing your birthday not because you told them. Because a little bird called FB told me! =) That counts right?! I’m glad to have a good friend like you, and I hope your birthday is magnificent. And for the record – it sounds like a perfect birthday to me!

Okay… I miss dancing. :(
P.S. These are really pretty.
haha, thanks for the post! This will definitely come in handy while I try to figure this all out… :)
I love the action pictures! Amazing job
Hey, that’s us! I love these pictures. It’s so fun to have these little everyday things captured. Thanks Kristin! We love you
I didn’t know you did this– so cute! And their house is darling.
I love these pictures. Their home is super cute! I love the decor and the color scheme.
I LOVE THESE PICTURES TOO!
I don’t even have words. Seriously. Not only is the light just beautiful in all of them, because well, duh! Brooke rocks that! But the TRUE emotion. I love all of them. They are beautiful and I think you should plaster your walls with them. Seriously. I love the one of you two sitting on your bed. Especially love that it has a photo of you on the wall above you. And I love your “dorky” one! =)
I can’t wait to see Brooke’s! And ps, here’s your official invitation to do some of this stuff with Chris and I if you would like to! =)
Wahoo! You two are just divine! I love all these images and love how authentic they are. My favorite moment of the whole shoot–personally–was when Kenny shouted out, “This is the best photo shoot ever!”. Not sure if you remember or not, but it was the moment I knew the stars had aligned :)
These are amazing! What an awesome concept. It totally works.
I love these. You two make a beautiful couple, and just have a cute, special place in my heart! I love you both. :)
I’m glad you have found your One.

Kristin! These pictures portray you both beautifully! Any picture with Kenny in it always makes me laugh:) You guys are just awesome!
I LOVE THESE! Beautiful work Brooke, as usual!! :) You and Kenny are soooo adorable! What beautiful pictures to be treasured forever!!
You know what the best part of these photos is? The two awesome people in them! I love you guys!
These are so cute! Love the personality that comes through in them!!
Thanks for sharing these!! :)
Oh Kristin, I just adore you! I have been so blessed to be surrounded by such great friends, especially you. I’m glad I got you as a VT. That was in inspired match…I’ve learned so much from you and our talks meant the world to me! Thank you for doing these for us. I know I’ve said it before, but you are SO talented. Love you!
Kristin, I love that you read, and especially that you write about it. It gives other people the opportunity to find books to read. I’m much more inclined to read a book because YOU said it was good, and by reading your favorite passages, than because some snobby NYC review says it’s good. :) Thanks for posting these!
I’m glad to know you laughed at the bathroom mishap, because I have laughed numerous times at it now. =) Pretty sure, I laughed at all the tweets and now hearing the WHOLE story really made me laugh. Yes, I’ve read it a few times. The best part that really makes me laugh is the part when Kenny discovers you. LOL!
Thanks for the laugh!!!
PS. I hope your day gets better!!!
Soo, I read all that and you know what stuck out? SEVENTEEN YEARS OF DANCE LESSONS!! Holy cow (or something more graceful that a cow) ;)
So I can’t believe I saw you all afternoon and we didn’t talk about this. This made me laugh out loud. :)
HAHAHAHAHA. There is nothing I don’t love about this post. I have zero interest in seeing Captain America, so I’m glad someone shares this view. And I’m tired of people being snobs about Harry Potter. They’re incredibly intelligent and clever, so there!! :-)
Um…I pretty much loved everything about this post. Laughed my guts out! I could see the whole thing playing out perfectly in my head! Miss you guys! haha!!
I laughed just as much this time as I did reading about it on twitter. Love it!
hahahahahaha! this was so funny! kenny should convince lincoln to read harry potter now.
So when I get home we should go see HP 7.2 together, because I know Ken doesn’t want to see it BUT I really think you would like it. :) Also you should give Captain America a chance, because Chris Evans is a hunky beefcake.

Great job! Your B&W fave is my fave too! I love it. Beautiful.
Ooohh! So pretty! I love Brooke! She looks so beautiful!
Hooray! Oh dearest Kristin :) They are just lovely! All of them make me smile so big my eyes sparkle and dance! Thank you so much! So fun to see them on the blog! I think you are fabulous!
HE’S FINALLY READING HARRY POTTER!!!! That is so great! The best part about this post! Well, besides you getting stuck in the bathroom. :)
Brooke is such a wonderful person! Seriously. How can you not smile at her smile and laugh when seeing her laugh! =) I love like all of these! I can’t choose a favorite!
I love your first macro photo! Have fun in Florida. I’m slightly jealous: Disney Paris and Disneyworld all in one year.
The only advice I have is to embrace the fact that as soon as you go outside you’ll sweat like nothing else. :) Oh, and don’t go on the Mission: Space ride twice in a row, even if there isn’t a line. (that ride is a Epcot and way awesome!) I did that and felt a little sick the rest of the day, and I don’t even get motion sickness. That’s all the advice I have. Epcot was my FAVORITE. The international part is so amazing. You’ll love it!
awww! we are so cute. i love those pictures!
Don’t even bother packing a curling OR a straight iron. Also I would recommend brightly-colored t-shirts. Also drink lots of water. The heat is oppressive but still doable. You’re going to love it. We’re going to have so much fun. Also heads up, there will be very little sleep involved. JUST A WARNING.
ALSO I am so so excited to see you guys, aaah I can’t wait!
I’ll chime in with my hindsight. =) And this might fit more with something you are going to talk about later in this series than with this post, but here is my little story!
I did hire a professional, but I was pretty price conscious, so I hired a cheaper one and I was less than happy. If I had it to do over again, I would truly have cut expenses elsewhere and did a lot more research on my photographer, because I don’t like the album on my table, but at the same time I want to love it because it is the only thing left from my wedding! I don’t like my bridal pictures because I allowed the photographer to talk me into doing them indoors in April, because she thought it was too cold outside still. I’m not a studio person, so they don’t fit me. I didn’t get clarification beforehand on whether or not I would receive a disk, and just assumed I would, but when I didn’t get one, it turned into a big fight that could have been avoided if I did my research.
Do your research and hire the absolute most photographer you can afford. It’s worth it.
What an excellent, very well articulated post! Value is a perception. Honestly wedding photographs only appreciate with time. (especially when you love them)
Well said:) My parents only have 5 photographs from their wedding, and they’re not good. Their real “photographer” was terrible. When they saw the pictures my moms parents said that they were awful and refused to pay for them. The photographer came and took all of them back. So my parents ended up with just the pictures my grandpa snapped. Whenever we talk about their wedding it’s always mentioned that they have no pictures.
AMEN AMEN AMEN!!!! thank you for writing this. Took the words right out of my head.
Mustn’t skimp on the photography. Got it! Thanks for writing this. :)
Maybe this is a silly question but what do you think qualifies someone as a “professional photographer”? Like you said lots of people who have a nice camera think they are a photographer and the Internet and other programs make creating a website or editing more simple. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
that is such a good question whitney. I have had to think really hard about it. I think a professional is hard to define in creative fields. there will always be exceptions to any rule, but in my opinion, a professional photographer is someone with experience, talent, and business skills. experience to know they can handle any technical or lighting situation that arises, talent in creating beautiful work, and business skills to charge appropriately enough to run a sustainable company and keep things organized and running smoothly. at least those thing are what is most important to me as a photographer. :) does anyone else have a better definition??
Thanks Kristin! That’s a good definition. It is difficult to define. I also would add that a passion and desire to always be learning more and improving would be important. That’s something I appreciate about you is your drive to improve both in business and photography.
Oh Kristin that is so true!! When Colton and I were engaged, a lady who was just starting her business offered to do our pictures for free to help build her portfolio. I saw a few pictures she had taken and they looked good, so I thought, well, why not? We wanted to help her out and thought it would be great to spend that money on other things. We ended up with a few hundred okay pictures and only two that we love. I have tried to remind myself that we really helped her out; she has gotten so much better since then. But deep down I think I will always regret it, and that’s not something any bride wants!
Stunning!
Okay I loved these! Especially the one of them laying down in the field. What a beautiful bride!!
YOU ARE AMAZING! And they are beautiful. I hope you are still doing birth stories when I have a baby. You photographing that would be a dream!
SO beautiful! I LOVE these!!
Thank you for doing my picutres…. you are amazing.. :)
I have an inexplicable urge to take a cool shower. . .
Wow! All of those were absolutely gorgeous!!
That little yawn photo is precious. Your makeshift studio turned out great!
I love them all!
You are amazing!!! I really love the shots with the three of them all together.
Wow! These are amazingly gorgeous! :)
First of all. High school man friends. Hahahaha, I think you’re funny. Second of all– you are so brave. Even talking to you about it didn’t make me even want to try to be brave so I’m impressed. And also, I thought Kenny’s party was great and you can too cook, even if it’s not your element. :)
I feel the same way so much about just wishing I had time to do everything that I feel like I should be doing! I’m also commenting about your post for camping and Kenny’s birthday-no wonder he and Paul are such good friends, Paul is a little kid at heart too! For his birthday earlier this year I bought him a Winnie the Pooh card, a Harry Potter lego set, and Star Wars wrapping paper. I think the checkout lady thought I was buying for a 6 year old, not my husband who was turning 25. :) And we are so sad we missed the camp out! It looks like it was so fun!
What a fun weekend! I love Kenny’s shirt and hat. It made me smile. You are braver than I would’ve been.
Thanks a lot Kristin. Now I have to add Florida to my list of vacations, because I really want to visit EPCOT. =)
I’m glad you had fun! I know you felt like a complainer, but I laughed every time you tweeted about the humidity. haha!

Great job. I love, love the very first image.
So pretty! Your pictures, and Jalene.
love them so much! thanks, kristin! it was fun to look at the other ones and see how much i’ve changed and how much your photography has changed since that first session. let’s do this for sure every year!
Whoa! GORGEOUS! Like…I’m not surprised, by your abilities or her gorgeousness, but seriously! :) Nice work, Kristin!
BAH! My heck. I love Florida more than cheesecake! What fun! :) I also feel like the Epcot World Tour feels like you really are in those places…kinda. I think the food and entertainment helps :)
I love the posing here. All of it.
Whoa! Gorgeous! I get such hair envy sometimes, and then I have to remember that I really do look better with short hair.
Pretty! That’s so cool you’ve stayed in contact! I’m going to school at byui in the fall to take photography classes. I hope I can find a friend like that;) I follow her photoblog and yours. You both take great pictures!:)
she is so gorgeous, and you are so amazing. it’s so fun to see your own improvement, i can definitely see it and i love it! it’s how i feel when i look back at previous sessions. i wish i had someone close to me to photo swap with to see my improvements! =) seriously, keep doing it. it’s so awesome!
I feel like you and I are going through something very similar right now. Now that Paul and I both don’t work crazy hours anymore, I’ve felt the need to make a schedule, because I can actually have one! It’s amazing how structure like that really helps! Especially setting aside time for scripture study. I always feel so good after I do it, why am I not doing better at it every day? P.S.-still on for Thursday night? Let us know!
Way to go Kenny! He’s my inspiration for doing my marathon. I didn’t think i could but hearing his running experiences gave me a glimmer of hope. Granted, his time is WAY more awesome than mine will be. Good job, Kenny!!
Yay Kenny!!! He’s a rockstar runner in my book! My husband runs a lot, but Kenny runs A LOT. See? A LOT is more than a lot. =) PS. Newpark is my favorite resort in Park City. I LOVE IT THERE! That’s where we did our pictures from last fall! Oh and we stayed there for our anniversary a couple years ago and enjoyed our balcony hot tub, along with Kneaders for breakfast directly below our room! =) Yay Park City!
that’s insanity!! never stopped running??
i kind of wonder if runners often get this amazing enlightening because they have so much time to think. i think all i would think about during a marathon is how i was going to die.
yes, please blog about organize and TELL ME HOW DO TO IT!!! thanks. :)
OK, so THANK YOU for mentioning EverNote! I saw a co-worker using it the other day and wondered what it was — I HAVE to check it out!
Also, your goal about scripture? I feel you hon. This is the year I dedicated to reading the Bible all the way thru. After a 3-week hiatus (I’m STILL behind and the daily readings are piling up in my inbox!) I am back on track. In Nehemiah in the Old Testament and out of the Gospels and into Acts in the New. It feels SO good to be reading/learning things that I feel like I should have known about my faith ages ago. And you’re right — it’s TOTALLY spiritual fuel!
I LOVE that first quote. Beautiful! That is exactly the way writing is for me. Love it! Thanks for sharing. Good luck with your busy business, Kristin :)
Dude! Tell Kenny thanks for the advice on selling my kit on KSL. I did that…it was probably one of the hardest things ever, handing over that handwork to someone with more time. Dang it! I’m bound and determined. I’m working up my running again and it feels SO GOOD! Jalene’s right, btw, running is a very enlightening experience. WAY TO GO, KENNY! :D
Oh my, I love John Steinbeck and I’ve never heard of that book! I’ll have to pick it up!
Thanks for the inspiration I always find here. :)
oh hi there. nice to meet you MRS. ORGANIZED! seriously. i’m so impressed! i thought i liked my office, until i saw yours and now i feel like mine is a disaster! i think you may have inspired me to tear apart my closet in my office. don’t tell my husband. he won’t thank you. =)
You did it without me?? :( Can I help you organize something else? :)

Great job Kristin! She’s adorable and I love the variety!
YAY!! I can’t wait to post these on my blog. We love them! We’re having a hard time picking our favorites…
The third to the last shot is my very favorite–love the texture! What an adorable baby, too–that always helps. :)
So… Jack is still talking about wearing the adventure hat and the cats and dogs in Hoystville. Oh yeah, and he asks for you guys at least twice a day. Also, I’m stealing some of these for an overdue post on my blog… :) You take cute pictures.
I LOVE these– she is beautiful and you did a great job. :)

Can’t wait for your evernote post. I have it, but am still a bit confused. haha! Oh and I got a big floor easel from Tai Pan trading last year. I think for only like 20 bucks or so. I don’t know if they still have them or not… Good luck with the bridal fair! This is a really long comment. ha!
I’m gonna follow in Cindy’s footsteps and make a long comment too. I feel like I have so much to say! Ha! None of it that important of course, but still! So, good luck at your bridal fair. Where is it at? Also – I’m not thrilled that you are so hyped up about Parks & Rec because it’s a show I’ve wanted to start watching for a long time, and now you make me want to watch it even more, and I don’t have TIME too! =( Boo! I posted on facebook on both of your pages! Good luck ladies :D
holy carolly. you’ve inspired me to really get into evernote more now. i did a spree at first, but i’m pretty certain i need to do one again. like um tonight. =) thanks for this post! i thought i was pretty organized and getting it, but why didn’t i know about stacks. that’s genius!
oh and guess what article i just clipped to my evernote to remind me later =) haha
What a great contest! This sounds like it would be so fun… I love your work. :)
Ooh, I am intrigued. Sounds like fun! We miss Kristen photography around here :)
This sounds like so much fun! Here’s hoping I can find a way to win this one… :D
Those are probably some of the most stunning and beautiful pictures ever! You will be famous one day my friend! SO beautiful and gorgeous location!!
What a great contest! Your photos are beautiful. And you’re right, when you’re a mommy, there are never pictures of yourself :)
i love it. love love love. i might even be a tiny bit jealous that you get to do bridal fairs. it’s one thing i might never experience. salt lake bridal fairs are super expensive and super saturated. can’t wait to hear about your business plan!!!
You are so Kristin :-) Your booth looks great too! I like that you are always trying to find ways to improve your amazing work.
Remember how everytime you post a birth story I tell you how amazing you are and that as soon as I am pregnant we are booking you? Well it’s time :-) I’ll be writing soon to get it all worked out!!
I would love, love, LOVE it if I won this! ;)
Okay links have been posted on my status! Good luck to all! I can’t wait to see the results! :)
This sounds like so much fun!
I posted the links on facebook, too! Sorry to enter last minute. I totally spaced it…
Wow this is brilliant. Mommas are very good at staying behind the camera!
And I LOVE that it is all about the high heels! How fun is that!?
Facebooked you :)
I would love to be part of something like this. Sounds like a fun idea!
[...] you SO much to all of you wonderful people that entered my contest! I don’t do contests very often because I worry no one will enter and I’ll look stupid. [...]
Darn it! I knew making the first comment was a bad idea. Congratulations, Mandy!!
Whoa! Love these. Do you know who did her bouquet? Gorgeous!
[...] post is a continuation of my dance project (see the first two posts here and here). This time I really wanted to focus on ballerinas and a series en pointe. I love ballet. [...]
I. LOVE. this.
It’s breathtaking. Oh, I wish they had had a ballerina like Melissa on this season of SYTYCD.
Ohhh I love them all. Gorgeous. I want some prints for my dance studio. :)
Kristin, my computer is down at home and e-mail is blocked at work. I can’t find your number on here, so will you please give me a call when you can to talk to me about birth stories? I don’t want to leave my number publicly, so I am just going to put that instead of my email address :-)
karalynn! i don’t see your number anywhere! but mine is 801.842.4713. :) i won’t be able to answer until 12:00 or after 5:00, but you can leave a message and i’ll call you back!
Congrats Kristin! That’s exciting!
Yay!!!
You take such beautiful pictures Kristin :) I’m so excited for you with all your new plans!! I hope your business keeps growin!
Ooohh! Pretty! I love the window pictures and her shoes. :)
Yay!!! The shot this morning with Kristin was so much fun! She is so talented! I can’t wait to see the final shots. I know I will be going back to her for some family photos! Thank you so Much Kristin I’m so happy I won such a great giveaway! Keep them up they are terrific!
you should check out http://www.e-mealz.com/ for an easier cooking life. They give you a shopping list/menu/recipes each week and you just print it out and go shopping and cook. The recipes are really easy and the food is way good. We’ve done it for about 5 months and honestly I didn’t think I’d stick with that long but we love the food and it takes the pain out of cooking. I can even give you a few sample weeks if you wanna try it first. You’ll love it!
I’m so glad fall tv is back too! Castle is amazing so far, I think. I wish it was on every night. Besides that, I hate moody weeks! And they always seem to happen right before conference for me too. . hmm. . .I just hope this means Conference will help! What am I saying, I know it will. :) We need to hang out soon. We’re still holding Kenny’s Indiana Jones’ movies hostage.
Beautiful work Kristin! And yes, such a pleasure to meet you yesterday!
Ohhh, so pretty! I love the black and whites!!
Love the pictures, and her! She could be a model!
oohhh Kristin you did such a beautiful job!! I had so much fun too :) i’ll gladly be your model anytime!! haha

I like your post. Felt like it was very personal and this brings my organization skils closer with Evernote.
Thanks
I love these — the location is awesome and the lighting is gorgeous. Cute couple. :)
These are BEAUTIFUL…
You are so so talented. These pictures are stunning.
oh hi. you might not remember me. but my name is chelsea.
and i’m a little bit jealous that you are mentoring with that photographer. it’s on my list. =) i can’t wait to hear about it next weekend. oh yeah, i said next weekend. =D
maybe after next weekend you’ll remember who i am. or… after december 1st.
[...] just make everyone melt. Of course I’ve been photographing her since before she was born (maternity, newborns, 6-month, one year) and every session she just gets cuter and cuter, which I didn’t [...]
You. Are. Amazing. THANK YOU!!
So cute!
…stay in Utah… stay in Utah… stay in Utah… stay in Utah…
Tell Kenny I love him but I hate law school. :(
ohhmyy goodness! that first fall picture?! I LOVE IT! love love love it. you’re amazing kristin!
Ok-first off, I LOVE shabby apple’s clothes. I wish I had mone to buy pretty much all of their dresses. Someday. . . Secondly, I’m glad you’ve found the Cary Brothers music! I saw them live a couple years ago in Salt Lake, and they are just as good live as on their albums. But I already knew you and I share the same tastes in music, so I’m not really surprised. :) I’ll have to look into PanAm, because I love shows that are based on a different decade. Great post!
so pretty! great job, kristin!
[...] doing really good at going paperless with evernote [...]
Beautiful job! You did a great job capturing all the work that went in to make all the details perfect :D My favorite is the portrait of them walking up the hill!
it turned out so pretty!! i love the blue cake all over her face shot. so funny!
Beautiful Kristin! The Logan Temple is so pretty! What a sweet wedding.
You should send your camera to United Camera in Chicago. They are great and MUCH cheaper. Dang Canons. I manually focus everything now. Their auto focus is unimpressive!
*sniff* don’t talk about leaving Logan, Kristin! I’ll miss you too much!
SO pretty! Love it!
Beautiful pictures! What a cute couple.
I love these pictures!! I told Katie that the one of Dustin and Chloe is my favorite. You always do an amazing job.
So cute! Love them all!
I love them. I picked a favorite, but I REALLY love them all. :)
I love them all. I did giggle at the last picture. Kids definitely have an internal clock that everyone goes by! Jack & Chloe are adorable!
what a cute family! the last one is hilarious!
They are such a cute family!!!! :) I love these pictures.
Ugh. I remember living in an older house and the cold did just seem to seep through the walls. But the heat dish sounds nice! And I laughed when you said Kenny was running on his hurt ankle. Men. They think they can just walk everything off. :)
Ohhh, so pretty, as usual! What a cute couple!! It looks like they had lots of fun!
Such a cute couple. I love their outfits and the beautiful golden tones!
Just caught up with your blog. You are becoming super good at the picture taking . Jack and Chloe and Katie and Dustin’s are so very cute. I have had to enlarge my family picture board. Saw the snow in Logan. Come our way– it is sunny and just a bit cool. Have a great holiday. Miss seeing you. Love, GmE
Okay – I really paused when even trying to come up with words for this…
First I thought AWWW!, then I thought Gosh she’s gorgeous! Wait, not gorgeous, amazing? I don’t know. I can’t find a good enough word. Stunning!
And hair jealousy? Yeah, I have it too when I look at her hair!
I’m so proud to call both you and her my friends!
You’re the sweetest! Thanks for taking our pictures, saying such sweet things and hanging out with me during my surgery recovery. Love you loads!
Ohhh these are pretty. :)
very nice! I’m glad I could be a part in throwing leaves up in the air over and over and over for your beautiful shots!
I love the Olsens! They are so much fun, and these pictures totally portray that!
I’m going to have to agree with Chelsea on this one! BEAUTIFUL portraits and beautiful couple! I love, love, love them! I am thinking one of these days, James and I will have to join the crowd and have you take our family pictures too! haha!
Wow. I would frame any one of these and put it on my wall.
Oooh! Fun!
I really like the VSCO–although, I don’t think it really looks like film all that much in these photos. Did you run it at full opacity? Either way, they look wonderful.
Awww! =) I loved our weekend! I think we should make this a tradition every fall, so that way we get to hang out twice a year every year! And its split up from WPPI! =)
i love the vsco edits! i’m still messing around trying to make them “me”
Yay! I love the edits actually! Thanks for the pics and also thanks for letting us crash at your house! So, so, so fun! Miss you! Oh and I Loooove that last one of Chelsea. So mysterious! ha!
[...] we took a ton of portraits at their bridal session, we only took a few the day of the actual [...]
You should go down to the Rec Center at Logan High and get a schedule of all their fitness classes. It’s only $2 a class and they have zumba and pilates and yoga and all kinds of fun stuff! Which reminds me. . I should probably work on going to classes there again. :)
This is seriously the most perfect family session ever. LOVE them!
Oh man, I really really love these. :)
I love them! So much! All of them! =) I wish I didn’t freeze so much when photographing people in the winter, because I love winter sessions with the sun shining and pretty!
so cute! the snow is so pretty. i wish there was snow today for my family shoot. i like the vsco edits!
I love Neal Caffrey! :) And I really need to listen to that CD…
I love them so much! You are amazing!!!! Thank you
I LOVE your countdown tree!!! That is the cutest thing ever! =) And I wish I had a banister and a mantle at Christmas time. My stockings are hung from a cocktail table! I think I’m going to do a decorations post soon too…
Merry Christmas Kristin!
You have such a cute house!!! :) Hope you had a great Christmas and that everything is going great for you!
Such a cute house! Merry Christmas!
COME BACK FROM YOUR BREAK!!!
oh hi kristin! glad to see you back! =) i missed you!
i LOVE your self portrait, especially the feeling inspired one. it makes me smile.
i’m doing a 52 week project too, except mine is specific themes every week! i just finished my 2nd week project today. feeling proactive doing it on a monday. i love it so far and i’m determined, so maybe we can help each other do it, because i don’t want to give up on mine either!
Great post! I love the self portrait idea and I especially love the first shot. One of the best things about blogging and the bloggers behind them are that they’re real people with real feelings and real issues! The resolutions to follow always mean that much more to me. Thanks for the post!
Great photos! Maybe I’m just super emotional today, but I got a little teary-eyed looking at these pictures and the temple. The Logan temple is so beautiful! Great work!
I LOVE this. I love your plan on doing self portraits and to document every week this year, the ups and the downs. And you probably already know this, but I also get frustrated with myself quite often with the ideal of who I want to be, and I always feel short of that. I know it’s a woman thing, but it doesn’t make it any easier! But this keeping progress of yourself every year is a great idea, and I’m sure you’ll be amazed to look back and see all the progress you’ve made!
Love them! I also loved your last post. I can very much relate! :) So glad you are back!
[...] (I don’t mind the blurry self-portrait. It reminds me so much of THIS!) [...]
so cute!! but i do not like my comment on that original post. bleh…. delete!
I love these, Kristin. You really caught the commercialistic excitement of Christmas. Beautiful photos.
I love it! We have an anniversary like this too! This June 25th will be 8 years!!! =) And we celebrate ours too!
You guys are so dang cute.
I really like this. Maybe that’s what we’re not doing either with this job search for Paul. We’ve always tried to have the open mind set that we’ll end up wherever we are supposed to. It’s hard because we have no control over any companies that he’s applied to. . but maybe a new approach can just help us have a different and better outlook too. :)
I LOVE your favorites! They are all beautiful though! Beautiful couple and photos!
I think God wants us to ask for what we want and then have faith. He wants us to be happy and have the things we want. Like the song says though…Some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers. When I look back at things I’ve prayed about, and didn’t get, I can see now that what I wanted wasn’t the best thing for me. Best of luck to you two!! The east coast has a lot of fabulous things to offer! :) I was born there. California is amazing though!
I LOVE the picture! =) And I really want to try juicing. The problem is, there is a HUGE lack of grocery stores that actually sell anything besides lettuce and celery. It’s even hard to find fresh spinach around here besides the stuff in a bag. Kale, well, that’s unheard of. And I can’t find time or justify going to SLC for fruits/veggies. =( So… until then, I suppose I’ll find ways to eat the “good for you” stuff.
But I’m super proud of you and super happy to know I’m not the only person that ONLY eats cheese and carbs and junk food. =)
Ha ha! That song always reminds me of you!!!
I just finished drinking my own juice when I read this.
Apples,oranges,lemon,carrots,cucumber,romaine lettuce, and celery.
Delicious!
Love the pic! Love green smoothies! Can’t wait to see you in less than a month! yay!!!
Love the photo! Keep up the juicing, you’ll only love it more and more the more you do it. The produce can be expensive. Let me know if you ever want to split produce from Sam’s :)
[...] and very VERY cold wedding at the Logan temple, along with a ring ceremony and reception in Idaho. Kassie and Matthew’s engagement session was one of my favorites of the year, so I was definitely excited for their wedding and it [...]
Yay!!!! Beautiful pics! And I had so much fun with you! Let’s do it again! :)
GORGEOUS!!!!:)
[...] ADORE. (they are the ones that took us to paris last april.) they are such incredible people. i told you already how uninspired and frustrated with things i was when we arrived and then how inspired and refreshed [...]
Great pictures! I LOVE her menu board. I want to do something like that. And I am still laughing how you didn’t like the hike. Next time Kenny wants to do that he can take Paul and you and I can go get pedicures because I’m the same way. :)
I love trader joe’s!!!! We need one in Utah SO bad!!!!!;)
I love this project you are doing! Did I already tell you that? =) I’m 99.9% certain we are coming tomorrow and I’m so excited to see you! And your new improved booth! (Which I’m sure was awesome the first time around anyways!)
YAY! I’m so proud of you! Even though you may be stressed you’re working step by step on your business and it sounds like it’s busy! :) Can’t wait to see photos from your bridal show! Remember to take pictures!!!
I just have to say that I love your hair in that picture. I was laying in bed last night thinking of how I wanted to cut my hair, and then I see the very hairstyle on you! You are so cute. Oh, and of course all the engagements above look fabulous and I totally think you DO have a specific photography style. So there. :)
Love! =) And I’m pretty excited to see we made the list! PS. Did you upgrade to P4??? I see a different font that I’m loving on your site!
Beautiful! I love them all, but I especially love the first picture! That has always been one of my favorites of yours… :)
I love that you did your ‘best of’ posts. Your work is wonderful and you’ve really found your voice and style. Beautiful!
I love, love, LOVE this show! They have done a fabulous job and I’m so glad people are talking about it now!!
I love this show!!! I didn’t know anybody else had even heard of it, so I’m glad you like it too.
I couldn’t agree more! I was in tears the last episode. Its a tangled web they’ve weaved and I’m right in the middle of it!
I love the shoutout! And am really glad you love the show as much as you do. It should be on everyone’s favorite things list.
Oh Kristin, it’s weird how much I worry about those same things all the time! I even had a reeeally long conversation with Paul this week about stuff just like that and we both came to the conclusion that I worry too much too! Women are worriers, but at the same time, I love how you are focusing on just being satisfied. And I feel like sometimes that’s all I can do, and then when I look at all I already have, it helps lessen the worry, even if it’s just for that day. :) Let’s hang out soon!
I said this on Facebook, and I’ll say it again! You are gorgeous. And I love your perspective! I just might Evernote this post for a good read later when I’m feeling like what I have is not enough. xoxo
I love that picture. You’re so pretty!! And… we should get together and talk about worrying. :)
